Aukaad...yeh hi hai...

4 - o white wash including 2 tests innings defeat inside 3 days...one within 2 days... and now out of the tri series...make no mistake these r pedestrian australian and lankan teams... apart from malinga...lankans are an ordinary bowling unit .... batting also looks so vulnerable with bits and pieces cricketers after no 4 ... and a below par australian team.... Sehwag rift with dhoni ? Does sehwag and Sachin even qualify to be in the team after such prolonged failures...? Sachin will decide which tournament he wants 2 play ? I mean look at the shamelessness and audacity....No Sports person is above sport and sachin is not above cricket...sorry !!! learn from cricket australia who r open and direct ....in dealing with a ponting or a steve waugh... Sachin Tendulkar....used 2 respect u so much...but im sorry 2 say ur a selfish cricketer and out of ur 99 hundreds i am cent percent sure around 50 hundreds are against pedestrain teams like bangladesh , kenya ,uae, zimbabwe, and depleted england , lankan and new zealand teams of then...agaonts real quality teams and in crucnch matches and finals ur record is pathetic....! No doubt u will retire as one of indias greatest sportsperson...but in my books you are not a match winner...or game changer ...sorry !!

Discipline
by B Soumya on Mar 03, 2012 02:20 PM

Team India is a indisciplined team. How can you tolerate when some one like Suresh Raina comments about the inability of the top order batsmen to handle the middle order. He has said that he himself wants to play at no. 3 but is compelled to be there in middle order. And what he has done in the CB series everybody know and why he is in Asia Cup team is quite clear. Dhoni-Raina-Jadeja-Aswin-Srinivasan. That's all.

psyche of Indian team
by mallajosyula senior on Mar 03, 2012 02:05 PM  | Hide replies

When any team is winning they are great and every one will praise them. When loosing every one will comment with harsh words. If fielder drops a catch all the team members should cry or what? Because he can not cry him smiles.Wheather Mr.Dhony is egoist or is they fighting is only guessing and seeing through a magnifying glass. If Mr.Sehwag is unable to score then he must be dropped. The moment Mr.Tendulkar is not included in one match all ex cricketers from Mumbai will pounce on the Skipper and write in the news papers that Mr.Tendulkar should be allowed to play as long as he wish to play. Then why blame Mr.Dhony for the defeat. Captain should have a greater say in selecting the final 11 for that particular match. No captain wishes to loose a match. Every one thought that Mr.Dhony is a good captain so allow him to captain his side with out any unjust criticism.

? No captain wants to lose, and by the same token no batsman wants to score 0.
So?

Just think about our National game

What an irony.. even after giving such an ace performance throughout the tournament, the hockey team could make it to only a few walls at the social networking sites. If it was cricket, those status-updates and tweets would have broadcasted "pal-pal ki khabar"... (miffed)

The big question is, "Why such double standards..?" I ran amok on going through the TOI today, where a pic in the front page and a column on the sports-page was all that was dedicated to our hockey team while most of the sports-page was full of the one and only- cricket (vexed-up..!!). Our hero of Indian hockey- Sandeep Singh- had to settle down for a small picture on the front page for his stunning performance throughout the tournament. While plugging on to the defeat of Indian cricket team, the media simply brushed-off Sandeep's almost single-handed 5 goals in the final and a total of 16 in the entire tournament. If it was someone akin MSD, Yuvi, Kohli, etc., we would have received their daily routines and diet-plans by now..!! Such incidents clearly indicate that the hype cricket has gained in this country has overshadowed every other sport including our national-sport, our pride... I won't be astonished if I hear an Indian-kid stating his national sport as "cricket" someday..!!

Steps must be taken to reinvigorate hockey in the country and in this regard, I appreciate the attempt of Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) for coming up with the concept of World Series Hockey (WSH)

I support and agree with you Akshaya, This is really heartfelt. You know I put it in search in one of the leading English daily to read about the news after Indian Hockey won OQ final as I used to read all news papers.

We should start ourselves. Let us pledge we will not see in live or in TV the coming stuopid IPL
