Fool Proof
by S Shrikanth on Jul 01, 2012 07:01 PM

Mr Ganguly , who is fool proof? The Human umpires who give wrong LBW, Caught Behind?

Why only BCCI is opposing DRS. Because they buy umpires with money.

wait for a foolproof system - you will be still in the old stone age .Certainly our experience shows it is certainly not fool proof .there are many cations who made good use of the system .When you miss the little thing on the top you go for DRS with out understanding and fail. Any way fools tread where ignorance is abyss.

DRS may still not be completely accurate, but i believe hotspot has improved considerably since last year. like the nicks and sounds are now confirmed by all 3 devices-hotspot,stump mic, and the snicko. until last year you would hear a sound but no white mark on the bat. It may still not be foolproof, but from what i've seen in last few series, its actually better. not sure about hawkeye though, a pitching of the ball on the same spot can produce different type of bounce depending on player mechanics, so not sure of its accuracy.
