DRS may still not be completely accurate, but i believe hotspot has improved considerably since last year. like the nicks and sounds are now confirmed by all 3 devices-hotspot,stump mic, and the snicko. until last year you would hear a sound but no white mark on the bat. It may still not be foolproof, but from what i've seen in last few series, its actually better. not sure about hawkeye though, a pitching of the ball on the same spot can produce different type of bounce depending on player mechanics, so not sure of its accuracy.

Don’t pigeon hole communities buddy. From your name itself a lot of theories can be made, how would you feel? Bengalis don’t care about the nation? Look at the names of prominent freedom fighters who gave their lives for the nation and then talk.

Regarding Ganguly, he has 18000 international runs, around 50 international centuries. Wisden has rated him as the 5th best ODI player ever, he has 22 MOM awards in ODIs. He has his name in the top of highest six hitters. In tests I can think of only 4-5 batsmen who were better than him. And he is an average player???

He is the one who build the crux of the current team as agreed by many former great, including Kapil Dev on record. When he was dropped for non cricketing reasons, all players like Harbhajan, Yuvraj, Sehwag and Tendulkar came out openly in support. Greg Chappel has been time and again proved to be a very poor coach in all his assignments!

The question is do only Bengalis support him? I have seen people from all regions support him and hail him as the greatest Indian captain and a great player. The people who speak against him rarely have any stats or facts, they just don’t like him. You like it or not, no one in cricket has silenced his critics in a more resounding fashion so many times! As of now he is one of the most important cricket personality on TV(commentator and critic) and you have to live with that!

If in spite of all this if you do not support him, think hard, who is parochial?
