Dhoni is the best captain that Cricket has ever seen in all available formats of game. It was a surprise from the yesteryear stylish player like Azhar mooting the controversy. Sehwag should concentrate on the game rather than on controversy to give India and cricket the best entertainment which he only can give. Needs schooling from Match fixer Azhar. Truth always hurts but if they are matured players then they will understand and perform if not they are not fit to be on field...they should leave the cricket and join Azhar's trades.

I'm sorry Venky, I am not from Bengal and I feel Sourav Ganguly was instrumental in getting the killer instinct required in the team. Pls note he opted for non-statemen Bhajji, Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj instead of sticking with his ranji team players like Sachin did when he was the captain. Only after getting cue from Ganguly giving it back to the arrogant australians NZ and Eng started to do the same against Australians.
And if u r into stats, from 1947-200 india won only 11 test matches under diff captains abroad but from 2000-2007 india won 10 test matches abroad under Ganguly!

for your info balaji ganguly holds the dubious record of reaching and not winning maximum no. of odi finals...so much for killer instinct of his team...
also tell me of the test matches we won abroad under him how many were against sa, eng aus and how many against bd and zim?

Really non sense! He had issues with everyone except new comers during his time. he was most vocal and controversial...

Abhay, any guy who has been a part of the team has a right to comment about it, even people like Azhar/Jadeja/Mongia who were the biggest cheats.
Dont u read cricinfo? Aakash Chopra writes some really good stuff. But how successful was he as a player? Does it mean he should not write? But agree, Ganguly wants a lot of publicity......

for once i agree with you....but you are going overboard calling azhar, jadeja and mongia as biggest cheats... they were good players and helped us win many games...we dont know exactly in how many matches they did spot fixing...match fixing i believe is a very difficult thing to pull of by just 2-3 players...
even a 3 year old child knows all these..by the way look who is talkin as if this guy achieved something great..it was a fluke for india to play against kenya in the 2003 WC Semi-Final with this small achievement he thinks he is great..he was thrown out of the team ...shameless creature

If u win one match its a fluke. Not a full WC. Other than Australia india beat all the good teams they played against. One foolish decision (not blaming only him but the think-tank) of opting to bowl first spoilt everything!
