Sachin should aim to win another World Cup
by Talisman on Jul 07, 2012 04:05 AM  | Hide replies

Sachin shld paly in the next WCup in Australia. Indian team is filled with T20 stalwarts that will score 20 plus runs in a T20 match on a flat pancake wicket.

Give them a test match and a good attack like the Aussie or england attack, they show their tail and run away.

You the number of failed guys,

1. Yuvaraj Singh
2. Suresh Raina
3. Rohit Sharma

to name a few.

The above three guys had talent. But no will power and desire. Where is the talent to replace Sachin's experience? The first man to score 200 in an ODI against a good attack like SA. If we have that much talent why havent anyone done that yet - except for Virendra Sewag?

rohit may not have taken advantage of the chances he got but yuvraj and raina are very good and have proven themslves. it is just because they bat down the order that they dont have the same no. of centuries or runs. if sachin had to bat at the batting places of yuvraj and raina he too would not have got so many centuries and runs.

similarly for gambhir and kohli. if sachin would not have got injured, or given rest or opted out but had played all the matches gambhir and kohli would not have played and their careers would have been wasted. gambhir has openly admitted so and said that because he was not getting chances inspite of good domestic performances he had seriously considered quitting the game.

EVEN IF U PLAY FOR 450 ONE DAY INT MATCHES AND OPEN THE INNINGS, U CAN ALSO SCORE 200 RUNS.

His enjoyment could spell doom to the careers of many talented youngsters waiting to get into the national team :-)

Name one. You talk as though there are tons of talent waiting in the sidelines. There is no one in the horizon. There are guys who struggle to score more than 50 runs in domestics, let alone a 100.

You must pray he doesnt retire.

if he continued playing without break there would have been no gambhir and kohli in the side. because he was either injured or rested or opted out that these 2 were discovered able to play and consolidated their position. tell me talisman, if sachin had taken no rest and had played all the matches would gambhir and kohli be in the side? NO!!

Its not about you, its about contributions being enjoyed by team
by cc man on Jul 06, 2012 10:46 PM  | Hide replies

Its not about you enjoying man, its about team, bcci, country enjoying your presense. Considering the facts that you have been a senior player and that you have not been delivering consistently since few years especially not delivering match winning/saving innings when team india needed you, its in the best interest of indian cricket, you start talking selfishly and retire unless you contribute consistently especially when team indian needed you.

i mean stop talking or making statements selfishly. Not sure why BCCI/selection committe not giving strong warnings to him as follows.

1.Look Sachin, at this stage of your career, we want you to deliver consistently especially when team india needs you. Ur past performance does not augment this need of ours. So, treat this as final warning and we will give you 6 innings to prove yourself else we will drop you

CC man - check your facts. SAchin has been delivering 40 runs every innings even in australia and england where the team failed.

Check your facts before u write. Otherwise it is pure nonsense and why do u think BCCI deserves any praise? Its record of running cricket is pathetic. It is because of BCCI we dont have any new promising stars.

he has a simple game plan
by Vipin Jain on Jul 06, 2012 10:46 PM

He will continue to play till Arjun is selected to play for India, then he will announce his retirement. Selection committee will always support him under the obligation of his (Sachin's) sponsors
