This great batsman never had the courage to face the first ball of the match. Always batted at no 2 even if circumstances forced him to open the innings with no 7 or 8. Left captainship for creating personal records. Now thats enjoyment for a selfish guy.
its u r decession for your personal gain, but in the countries interest u must retire when u r performace goes down.... India, indina cricket is important...not u r interest

Hi Sachin, u may enjoy the game forever, but it shud be the country's interest which shud decide if u shud still continue to be there in the playing eleven at the cost so many others losing their prime time to represent their nation in sports. U have enjoyed enough man, let us now think of others to also enjoy, it is not anybody' personal likes and dislikes or fiefdom, it is national team and national interest which is supreme and above personal interests or favours

Let us now enjoy cricket from drawing rooms as u r not in the same mould as others to don other roles in cricket post retirement, that's why u probably desire to continue as long as u can. It is high time to call it quits for the younger generation to take over and I am sure country of a billion people wud throw many Sachins to the ring/field if allowed opportunities. Give a lilttle thght for others as well to share ur pleasure playing for the nation.

He is not interested in YOUR enjoying or playing in the interest of country. He is only interest in HIS OWN enjoyment.
we all appreciate your desire to play the game, but that isnt the criteria to continue, is it? if an equivalant/better replacement is available (which i think is available), you should step down.
secondly, i wish you hire a PR guy to write your statements. some of your recent statements have been comical, to say the least. there was the 'selfish to retire when on top' bit that you threw at us. now this where you pretty much say you will do as you like and nobody can stop you.
and thirdly, selectors, how does it feel to be just rendered redundant? sachin tendulkar apparently plys till he likes, not till you like.

like these new thoughts which not many dare to speak but is well worth debating, like MG was made the Mahatma by Congress Party, he dint ask for it, it was for far reaching political benefits that Congress did that, they still reaping benefits of it.
He will play one-day match as long as he likes, whether the spectators enjoy or not. Occassionaly he will hit a century and all his croonies will go ga ga over it endleslly.
