Everyone perform at their backyards
by Hariharan Nair on Jan 30, 2012 01:00 PM  | Hide replies

Not to talk much about pace bowling. Now a days everyone delivers at their backyards. We have seen what England done to India in England and what happened thereafter when they toured India - ODI whitewash of 5-0

ODI and Test Match is a different ball game alltogether.. Winning Test matches is much more difficult as the batsman get chance twice.. in each match.. so Mr. Nair.. just do not comment for the heck of it.

Hari : It appears that you don't have much knowledge on TEST cricket. Everyone is a tiger at home, thats fine but teams like australia also performed well when they were no.1 for 15 years. Even though they lost the series to India in 2001-2 & 2009-10 (in India), it was a well contested series and not a complete meek surrender.. India lost the matches in 2.5 or 3-4 days and that was a SHAME!

Hariharan Nair:

;-)... Can you please highlight how many test whitewashes we've accomplished since 1932? :)

As for your comment about our useless "pace" bowling, I agree with you... :)

Not everybody..
Australis of the 2000s and West Indies of 1980s won in all the places. South Africa too has a balanced record.

India is the only team that always wins in backyard and struggles elsewhere. England for example struggled in Abu Dhabi but I doubt will struggle in New Zealand.

It is the huge discrepancy in records that invites criticism for Team India. I would rather have India lose 3 tests in India if that brings 2 wins elsewhere.

Not only Australia

Even Bangladesh & Zimbabwe can Bowl India out with Bouncy wickets as Our Batsmen do not have the Technique to play in Seaming, Swinging & bouncy pitches.

Even at home also we lost to Australia in Nagpur in 2004 season and ultimately the Series as well.

just analyse a lil bit mate..the same team did well in the last tour and now failed..it needs some gutsy person to bring out the actual reason..to me, i feel its the rift and groupism between sehwag and dhoni thats causing teh problem..have u ever seen sehwag coming to teh rescue of dhoni??

That is also an issue, Juniors might be looking to Send off seniors so that they can take control and earn more money.

let the destructive aussie bowling attack come to india..
by KETAN GANU on Jan 30, 2012 11:57 AM

u cant say or compare the current bowling attack to be the best ..as most of them havent bowled in indain subcontinent pitch ..where there is no biunce .. if australia boasts fast and bouncy tracks.. so india has spinning kobras.. fr a bowling attack to be the best it has to perform in all conditions..Its true that .. our batsmen were nt even 50 percent ..but aussies r really good in playing mind games..rite from steven waugh to clarke.. its their ability to break the concentration of batsmen..SO LETS SEE WHT DOES SIDDLE,HARRIS.. PATTINSON DOES ON INDIAN SOIL..

we need some good bowler
by Pradipta Goldar on Jan 30, 2012 11:52 AM  | Hide replies

First select some good bowlers who can take wickets when needed. Batsman will perform automatically. To win a test match you need to take 20 wickets not 500 or 600 runs. Actually we miss kumble a lot. We need two zaheer khan and one kumble type of bowler.

Batsman will perform automatically? How come batsman did not perform when we took 20 wickets in the first test?

20 wickets at how many runs??
Putting pressure on batsmen and expecting to perform is not right. Just as, scoring 200 runs and expecting that the bowlers will skittle out the oppostion in less than 150 is also not right.

Delaying TACTICs will play on Boardroom of Cricket !
by Anushka Gupta on Jan 30, 2012 10:44 AM  | Hide replies

a) All discussion and no Result.
b) Lot of Media talk for days till people get tired of finding any result.
c) If pressure persist from public, a few cricketers will be asked to sit for a few days and again bring back.
d) Young cricketer will be asked to play low to his potential so that again old players cement their place in squad.
e) No question is to raised against selection team.
f) Selection team do not have dare to remove old cricketers permanently as both are doing net practice behind doors.
g)Seniors Cricketers have taken the place permanently for granted because of loop hole in system.
h) Money drives Cricket and People prepared to be fooled thru the active involvement of Media in this fooling game.
i) In all probability, all cricketers will be retained with different formats. NO ACTION TAKE FOR GRANTED. It is a game of not uncertainity but surity for a handful few.
