by silver mani on Jan 29, 2012 07:58 AM  | Hide replies

We should thank Seniors because of their Efforts we Loose the series 4-0 ,otherwise if we had tried youngsters the series Result could be 4-(Negative)4.Due to seniors we managed 0 ,otherwise the result could be much Worse.

Yes, but there was no fight back ... just surrender
by Arv Singh on Jan 29, 2012 05:24 AM  | Hide replies

Wins & defeats are part of a sport but Indian team shamefully surrendered to Aussies without putting up a fight, exception Kohli & Yadav. So, who is to blame for this second successive debacle?

Submissive Team: Indians looked like lambs getting ready for slaughter and it was frustrating to watch them go down without putting up a fight. Loved the outburst of Kohli after his century but wish the entire team had worked themselves to that level of determination. Success only comes to those who try and Kohli's 100 was result of his focus, determination to succeed, and respond to the Aussie aggression.

Tactless Coach: Duncan Fletcher is no Gary Kirsten and he has failed to get the best out of senior or junior players. He lacks tactical thinking to develop a winning formula.

Biased Selector: K Srikkanth has exploited his position to fill the team spots with players from South after Dhoni selects his playing 11. This gives no bench strength and these 'dud' tourist do nothing more than warm the benches.

Srinivasan: The incestuous relationship between Tamilnadu, Chennai SK, and Indian team is brokered by this behind the scene manipulator. Who is he accountable to?

Clueless Skipper: Dhoni looks out of touch and clueless on the field. His own performance as Wicketkeeper/batsman is below par. He clearly has no interest in playing test Cricket and needs to spend more time with his lovely wife and advertisers.

Fire Fletcher, Srikkanth, Srinivasan, and Dhoni - NOW!!!

why in the whole series once none of the team members or magars thought of changing the order of the line up. eg KOHLI is young so eyesight is good so must send him as opener to wera off the ball then the seniors can continue . no body experminted with this kind of strategy. we always dont htink out of the box. we have a set of rules , one can play only at certain spot , what the heck is that. confu=se your opponent ,keep changing so that they remain clue less.

not so shamelessly
by panduranga vittal on Jan 29, 2012 05:23 AM

yes it happenns to every one but not so shamelessly. When Australia was dedeated so shamelessly (0-4). Losing each time with innings or with a differenece of 200 runs and so? In otor words you are the kings only under favorable conditions and at difficulties you are good for nothing ( I mean you, sachin, dravid etc). Is it correct?

Results of Down Under series 2011-12
by raja rajeshwari on Jan 29, 2012 05:17 AM  | Hide replies

Ricky Ponting had a poor drought of runs earlier to this series and many critics of Aussies had even suggested be dropped, where as he came good in this series with two centuries. He is not young in age. In the same wave length Sachin and Dravid are also proven class players and it is a bit disappointing that they had a poor outing and memories both together not contributing to the cause of Team India WIN or to batting credibility known to their reputation in their long illustrious career. The performance in this series should not be the yard stick to judge by people who are unaware of the ABC's of the game but critics. For the contribution they have made to the cause of Team and the game, allow them Judge when they like to call the shot. The very same England who drubbed Team India 4-0 are now at the receiving end from Pakistan. After al it is a game. very Team has ups and downs.

IF we the fans didn't watch Cricket, they wouldn't be earning those big bucks. Name another sport in India where players earn as much as cricketers?

We have every right to criticize Cricketers. By the way, what are your credentials?

So you guys should be above criticism? Did you see the fielding by the Australians? They played as if they are playing WC finals. Indians were lethargic at best. Dravid and Laxman missed at least one catch per innings. Don't remind me of the misfields. Time for top five Indian batsman to be thrown out. If this had happened to Australia or England, even if their media supported them, the board would have thrown them out. Stop making a fool out of yourself Sehwag.
