To all Blind Sachin Worshippers - THink Think
by Kumar Gourkar on Jan 25, 2012 12:04 AM  | Hide replies

Nobody debates that Sachin did help India win some matches on flat pitches like Sharjah and sub-continent in the 1990-2000 period. But truth is whenever we needed him badly to deliver a match-winning knock, he would be a failure. There are numerous examples for blind Sachin worshippers - in 1996 final against Lanka he failed, in 2011 worldcup he failed - both on home turfs. If it was some other country Sachin would have been shown the door long ago. Infact by having Sachin hang on in the team when he was not performing during a period I guess 5 years back or so, Indian cricket selectors infact shut doors for a promising player in the queue. These are all the bane of Indian cricket. If we go to the ground and tell the Aussies that we have Sachin who is a master blaster with 99 centuries, will the Aussies automatically lose ? When it comes to cricket current performance is what it measures. Also it doesnt count if one scores a 50 or 100 and the team loses - for example noone cares about kohli's 75 in the Perth test since India failed. Similarly Sachin had no real knocks where he came in a crucial situation and he turned match around for India. Blind Sachin worshippers will never think all these in their dead brains.

Almighty, please show mercy and bless indian cricket
by cc man on Jan 25, 2012 12:03 AM  | Hide replies

Dear Almighty, entire world has been aware that you always show mercy and bless Australian cricket a lot like making things go favorable in their compared to other nations. But, the way our bowlers are bowling consistently(with no spine,no intensity,no brains,no inclination to learn from mistakes,no variety,no application, no pace,no swing,no bounce,no seam,no consistency,no spin), we have no choice to pray you. Can you please have mercy on Indian bowlers and bless Indian cricket with pool of bowlers in the class of Aussie,Pak,Eng who can take 20 wickets consistenyly at a good strike rate anywhere in the world.

Re: Ashwin - A spinner selected based on Tamil Feelings
by kumar on Jan 25, 2012 12:09 AM
There are several Tamil players who got selected to india just based on regional feelings. They are
1) Vijay Murali
2) Abhinav Mukund
3) Dinesh Karthik
4) Badri
5) Ashwin
6) Laxmipathy Balaji
6 players from tamil nadu were tried in last 4 years. This is after selecting Srikanth to BCCI selection committee. Too many wasted opportunities. As long as Srikanth and Srinivasan are ruling BCCI, there is no future for india

Bangladesh B team is better than Indian team
by Kumar Gourkar on Jan 24, 2012 11:57 PM

Even Bangladesh or Holland players will not underperform like the current bunch of non-energetic malnourished Indian cricketers. Dhoni is the shame face of Indian cricket. Sehwag and Sachin should retire immediately and give way to promising Indian youth. They should stop ruining the chances of budding youngsters. This bunch of pension receiving old cricketers is good for nothing. They are not capable of winning a match against a Team comprising 70/80 year old ladies. Sehwag should retire and play Gilli Danda on his Delhi home front. Sachin is another shameless guy who is hanging on the Indian Cricket team only on the basis of the performances when he was little over bottle feeding age. Sachin had never qualified to be a knock-out match winner. In many crucial situations he has let India down. This Indian team should play only against Holland or Bangladesh !!

Why we were wicket less today??
by kallol paul on Jan 24, 2012 11:10 PM  | Hide replies

1)Ishant's angling in run up with no yorker length deliveries made him wicket-less.Either he bowls more to closer to wicket or then round the wicket.( Out swingers like Kapil , Venkatesh were preferred)

2)Bowlers were either too predictably off the target..or they didn't bring in much line n length variations within a over.

3) Test cricket is all about rhythm n beauty. To break Batting rhythm Bowlers have to be more rhythmic ( Like Zaks) than the batsman.

4) Stumps were not targeted. Variation of pace was also not there in absence of rhythm.

5) Absence of attacking close in fielding specially in slips.

6)If there were not enough good bowls, there were not enough loose deliveries 2 to upset POINTING CLARKE .

7) First day bowling was not very spontaneous and was done in a pre-planned fashion.Ishant can't get Pointing out in same fashion in a Flatter Pitch.

8) Bowlers were not enjoying the bowling. It lacked all Josh.

More refreshments, ice bath, more sleep and songs required.

Mutual support admiration was required.

(I Posted it some time bak in another Link.)

The Great Indian Cricketing Shame Story
by Kumar Gourkar on Jan 24, 2012 11:06 PM

The BCCI and Indian cricketers have made we Indians not able to show faces outside. They have brought such shame for us. President and PM should intervene. Sehwag should look for the next available flight back to India for the team. On arrival, they should be greeted with garlands of chappals at the airport. Shameless Dhoni is unwinding at Adelaide wineyards. Sehwag already made crores in IPL and playing cricket for blacking out India face on the International Arena. Sachin is playing for his 100th century. Pensioners Dravid and Lakshman are playing for some exercise for their legs. They could go for some Ayurvedic treatment instead. A bunch of non-performing non-energetic cricketers who are not good for even ploughing paddy fields in India.

Please have President and PM intervene
by Kumar Gourkar on Jan 24, 2012 10:57 PM  | Hide replies

Indian PM and President should summon Indian cricketers, BCCI President, Selectors on the place in front of the Parliament and should sing "Shame Shame Puppy Shame". The whole thing should be broadcasted in all channels. Then only BCCI will learn. PM should immediately recall the team back to India.
