Get your facts right. Balaji played in 2004/05 last and Srikanth came 2007/2008. Dinesh Karthik played in 2007 and I can't recall him playing again. Badri has been the consistent run getter and probably a person who hasn't been able to convert his domestic form in international cricket. He is one cricketer which the whole India wanted to do well. Even Badri was selected once before Srikanth Era. Mukund was highest run scorer for 2 years running and even this year he scored tons galore. Ashwin is regarded as best spinner post Bhajji. so based on your comments, we don't have to pick the best squad. We pick the squad based on one player from this state and other from other state and so on. Hypocrite, are you? What is our test team in Australia comprised of? Sehwag, Gambhir, Ishaant, Virat - Delhi
Dhoni - Jharkhand
Sachin, Rohit, Ajinkya, Zaheer - Mumbai
Laxman - Hyderabad
Dravid, Vinay Kumar, Abhimanya mithun - Banglore
Ashwin - Chennai, Saha - Bengal
I don't know about Umesh Yadav. I might have missed few players but really shame on you to start a regional feeling.

Dude - Epitome of consistency has been Tamil Nadu Cricket team. Have you ever seen a team chasing victory in Ranji Trophy at the rate of 8.5? They did it and nearly achieved it. Pretty sure you are jealous.

If you have everything against Tamils or any other particular language speaking groups this is not the right forum...please go and start a party for your own benefit. Who said every player from Karnataka played performed well at the international level? what about Sujith Somasunder, Dodda Ganesh, Sunil Joshi...and all others who got to play...don't refer to Dravid, Kumble, Srinath, Prasad who were good, there were lots who played because Vishwanath was the selector then! and Mumbai...wow, Ajit Agarkar might have got more chances than anybody else playing for India. From TN, it was only Srikkanth, and now only Badrinath, Vijay are getting chances.

Hello - Look at the ratio of players that were selected to the team and see how many performed.
From Tamil Nadu, 10 players were selected in last decade and none performed. Dinesh Karthik almost played close to 100 matches and he didn;t perform. Even so called great Tamil Nadu players didn;t perform atleast close to Sunil Joshi.

Breaking news: Tendya has decided not to stand and deliver
by cc man on Jan 25, 2012 01:18 AM  | Hide replies

Breaking news: Tendya has decided not to make significant contribution in this no contest batting pitch because its against his protocol it seems. His protocol has been always as follows.

"Dont ever make significant contribution in contest or no contest matches especially when team needed him but instead always score when he wants to. And also, not make significant contributions when others have been faring well whether its opposition or no opposition. He wants to score well when others fail it seems."
So, since this this current match state has been against his protocol, he has decided to dismiss himself cheaply. And also decided to hand over his wicket to Lyon cheaply as he feels he is the only one to whom he did not hand over his wicket in this series so far it seems. He handed over his wicket cheaply to Siddle, Ben in first test. And handed over his wicket to Pattinson,Clarke second test. And handed his wicket to Stac and Siddle third test. And he feels it will be unfair if he cant hand over his wicket cheaply to Lyon.

Also, he has been opinionating strongly that no one can dare to ask him to retire or drop him it seems

So, all, hail!!!!! one of the the most pathtic cricketers in cricket

I have many colleagues who work only when they get credit. They join meetings when they know their leaders are joining and will make some flashy comments while there will be a few who keep working irrespective of the outcome. If we need to support the flashy guys who chip in only at the time of success and blame others when there is a failure than we can also support Sachin haters. Sachin has been playing well in almost every match while there are some who play only when the match is won. Did you realize the difference? he didnt play well only in India or only against minnows. He played well against all teams and in all places. And we talk low about him. Ponting and Clarke and making 100s in Australia. Did u check how did they play elsewhere in the recent few months? We appreciate them unconditionally because we forgot that we are independent since 1947 and still live in the world of worshipping western people. If they make a pace pitch we will say thats the standard and never questioned about why not Spin tracks must be degraded just because our people are strong.England is playing worst in Dubai, India and other neutral venues and it is No.1 now. We are not bothered about it. But when India was No.1 we ourselves could not digest. If Sachin is doing great we cant appreciate and talk 100 things to prove he didnt do anything for the team. Please change the mindset and see if we are measuring everything on the same scale.

Sachin should have been shown the door long back
by Kumar Gourkar on Jan 25, 2012 12:48 AM  | Hide replies

Long back when Sachin performance dropped that he was getting out in single digits that time itself the selectors should have taken action by recruiting young cricketer. Instead we are lenient on Cricketers than any other country. We focus on Idol worship and not performance. Sachin, Sehwag, Dhoni, Dravid and Lakshman have wasted the careers of 5 young promising cricketers. BCCI President N.Srinivasan should be made to run in public with just an underwear.

Australia is the most blessed cricket nation in the world
by cc man on Jan 25, 2012 12:32 AM  | Hide replies

They get whatever they want whenever they want something. For example, in first test, they wanted to bat first, they won toss. in second test they wanted to bat second, they lost toss. In third test, they want to bat second, they won toss. in final test here, they want to bat first, they won the toss. And if they someone to deliver when situation is bad, someone will deliver. When they want their bowlers to bowl consistently to strike at regular intervals, their bowlers have been doing that. Almighty , please be merficul and blessful to India atleast 80% isntead of 0% compared to 100% blessfulness to Australia

Not just current series, if you look at history of Australia cricket, the stats show great success rate compared to other nations. For example, Bradman holds great batting record.

Taking 20 wickets is not India's problem, it is Australia's problem (if you call it so...;)) India will have to just get out in two innings and lose by an inning!!!

Ponting too smart
by rrrr on Jan 25, 2012 12:10 AM

Ponting is trying to humiliate India further . He knows Indian batsmen will not even make 400 runs with two innings combined. He wants to show that even on flat track like this Indian batsmen cant play. Smart move .
