@No Pressure please ... We are INDIANS THANK YOU
by rama anne on Jan 23, 2012 07:58 AM  | Hide replies

Indians do best without pressure but with proper GUIDENCE and POLICIES
----
So reform BCCI and put in place POLICIES

DO NOT PUT JUST PRESSURE ON OUR CRICKET PLAYERS WILL NOT WORK AT ALL

----
I also do not like pressure on Indian school kids ,professionals and all indians in general

I would like my country INDIA PERFORM ,with better facilities ,Training and policies but without PRESSURE
----
If aussies believe in pressure based system let them go for it

===========
THANK YOU

@Australias way of performace is stress prone
by rama anne on Jan 23, 2012 07:51 AM  | Hide replies

Dear Fellow Indians
=================
Yes ,Australia play well in Cricket ,they are competitive and have intense competition for test places among the players

However I also feel ,such intense competition all around ,all the time will also lead to PLAYERS fatigue and ultimately STRESS related symptoms

YES I want Indian team also to win and be competitive ,but I would not like Indian players subjected in the same way to intense competition all around the year with HUGE pressure

It just does not augur well ,it will lead to stress
---
even SPORTS aside ,take USA ,the number of EMPLOYEES seeing the doctors with stress related issues either in the job or out of the job has increased significantly

YES even driving is stress prone in these so called DEVELOPED countries

The constant urge to win and perform can also lead to stress ,especially PLAYERS ,for administrators and selectors it is making tough decisions ?
but with what cost ?

====
I would rather enjoy natural players ,with some degree of training like - a Vivian richards ,Sachin ,Lara ,Imran ,Kapil etc

i would rather not prefer ,in your face kind of CRICKET

For CRICKET is a game of GENTLEMEN and should be ENJOYABLE to both PLAYERS and SPECTATORS

I do not like sledging ,bantering and hiting BATSMEN on their BODIES
if that is the case ,then CRICKET will become a contact sports and will take the very essence of the GAME as well

I do not want INDIAN TEAM win every series and every test
---
they win some ,they lose some

But I want our PLAYERS to enjoy the game
I also want to enjoy the game watching

---
I also support reforms that BCCI should adopt

i)more sporting pitches
ii)more green turfs like Mohali and Nagpur
iii)purchase bowling machines
iv)get rotation system in place
v)white paper with policies published by BCCI - for home series vs away series (overseas) series

yaar shut this non sense of praising sachin...
by Indian on Jan 23, 2012 03:22 AM  | Hide replies

sachin is just another player and thts about it ...a fact but bitter one for indians...he is a average batsman whose praising has become a trend and fashion....other than that neither can he score a century at will nor can a bowler give up getting his wicket....we have seen how ajmal has made life of sachin difficult during semis and how oz bowlers are getting him out time and again.....

the only match i remember of sachin's performance was sharjah cup in 1998-1999....

personally i have no issues with Sachin,,,but i feel tht he has been over praised more than he deserves....guys like sangakara, ponting are far better players especially in big occasions...they play without any fear..dravid is unsung hero of india for his consistency and contribution in tough conditions...but sachin doesn't come close to these guys,,,,

10 point agenda for indian cricket
by krishna v on Jan 23, 2012 12:43 AM  | Hide replies

1. Have Dhoni greater say in all aspects of the Indian team.
2. Drop all seniors - Sachin,Dravid,Zaheer,Laxman. India berth is not private property, that they can choose when to retire.
3. Get 2 solid openers with good technique. - good bye Gambhir,Sehwag (as opener)
4. Push Sehwag to No.4
5. India's middle order to be from Kohli,Sharma,Raina,Pujara,Tiwary - Persist is the key.
6. Get 5-6 young fast bowlers who can bowl more than 140 kph and for long time. Encourage aggression. Yadav, Aaron, Sreesanth, Praveen. Kumar, Ishant Sharma. Find couple of more. Rotate them.
7. Ashwin, Ojha, Rahul Sharma should be bowling for long hours.(Get a spinning coach - Prasanna,Bedi would be good). Reduce their T20,ODI load. T20,Odi is not the route to test cricket for a spinner.
8. Get Irfan Pathan to increase pace.He is young,no reason why he cannot reach more than 135 kph.
9. Encourage meaningful cricket. 5 match odi series, 2 test series do not make sense.
10. Stick to above 9 points for 4-5 years.
