Hussey is intelligent. He knows that Sachin's prime days are long over. By praising Sachin, he is keeping Sachin's aggressive batting instincts at bay, so that the little master does not attempt to regain his form.

hi ranga , it is not only hussey the entire world knows that he is past his prime. the tragedy is that he himself & BCCI refuse to believe it.
It appears that past records of individuals are most important for the team than the present. Take the case of Dravid standing in slips. He had been dropping catches right from the West Indies series and yet he continues to stand in slips. Ishant Sharma has been bowling short of the length and far wide outside the off-stump right from the Windies series and yet he continues to bowl for India. Why not give a chance to youngsters like Pujara and Ashok Dinda? Also, Parthiv Patel could have been an asset to the team both in keeping and batting and yet the selectors have so much confidence in W. Saha and he continues to get free trips to windies, England and now in Australia. Dhoni's one test ban gives him a chance but I do not expect him to score more than 10 runs in any one innings.

Agree 100% with you on all the analysis Krishnan. Parthiv is much better than Dhoni also in batting. Atleast he wont play helicopter shots - which is a non cricketing, non-Test useless shot. Poor fellow not getting chances at all.
