Award.....
by Chandan on Jan 28, 2012 04:17 AM

This Indian Loser cricket team should be given Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratan Award. The award named after the person who had nothing to do with sports is most appropriate for this team.

Understanding Sports Psychology and Team Dynamics
by Nikhil Shah on Jan 25, 2012 05:27 AM

With teams like NZ winning in Australia, and Pak against England, the problem
with this Indian team is psychological. Teams like NZ and Pak are weaker than India.
The gap between FC cricket in India and international is purely psychological. Similarly the home to overseas gap is mental in nature.

The media, players and officials have always engaged in hyping up pitches
The two main areas are, individual mental toughness and team dynamics.

For a players personality, the form of the players, compusure, discipline, fear, motivation, positive thinking, self confidence belief, temperament, focus, patience, will power, morale and anger control are personality issues composed in a team as a collective unit.

Team dynamics in sports is divided in to 2 parts:

1. Social dynamics:When players don't get along
2. Tasks dynamics: When team cohesion affects the end result required by players tasks.

The problem with Sachin's goals like 100 centuries can affect team cohesion and team dynamics. In Social cohesion, when players don't get along.

Losing your temper is another problem with team cohesion, when LBW decisions like a player of Sachin's calibre is given out. Another example of how team dynamics is affected is when a batsman like Sehwag is unable to play the last 5 minutes of the day and hence scoring centuries may not matter much.

It demoralizes the team, and the process of mental dis-integration is on-going.

hahahaha....you are still as unreasonable as you always were, vaidya....we are not even going to talk about dhoni's batting or keeping...you know as well as me(though you wont admit for reasons only you know) that dhoni is totally waste as a player....and you cannot have someone on the team only for captaincy....and as a captain, dhoni has been ultra defensive (remember west indies where any other captain would have gone for the kill )and his fielding placements and bowling changes have been FOOLISH, RIDICULUOUS and INSANE...infact his record of 7 straight loss would be difficult for any other captain to match including bangladesh...DHONI is actually very STOOOOpEEED...and he has proved it with his decisions recently...so you need to look beyond the hype of dhoni's captaincy...ALSO MERELY QUOTING STATISTICS OF PAST MATCHES WHERE INDIA WON (MOSTLY BECAUSE OF OTHERS PERFORMANCE) WONT HELP YOUR CAUSE...YOU HAVE TO ANALYSE WHAT DHONI DID IN THOSE MATCHES AS WELL...YOU WILL BE SURPRISED TO FIND THAT DHONI HAS BEEN TOTALLY USELESS AND FALSE POCKETING CREDIT OF OTHER PLAYERS

and Vaidya, please dont give me that foolish argument about senior players...i believe gambhir, Laxman, sachin etc should be kicked out as well along with Dhoni's group of players like the hopeless ishant Sharma...but i am singling out Dhoni because he is the worst case of them all...and for a long time....he has been the worst non-performer and the most useless player...others have at least performed sometime or the other

WHAT NONSENSE! LACK OF TRUTH! Read ON
by supernova on Jan 23, 2012 06:34 AM  | Hide replies

Many readers here seem to get carried away by the Present. Indian youngsters have DONE good only on Indian sopil based matches. be it Dhoni, yuvraj and many others. Dravid and laxman showed how great players they were in the series against England. And in australia most of the times these gusy got out were to real unplayable deliveries.. the major culprits of the team are primarily, Sehwag- who believes it is all 20-20 and bats allays his ways and not matured, Sachin uncle who is tryign his best to score records but gets otu nervously and dhoni who is so arrogant a captain that he believe sonly in his foolish ideras. Yuvraj has been seen to be a failure always outside india. when u say sack seniors, dont base the commencts on the great run scores of youngsters who can only bat in indian conditions..4zz53

Brilliant analysis. Sachin not getting to 100 is one major cause of defeat according to your research. Is it?
