Contrast this aggression and winning spirit with the Dhoveee's surrender in west indies...where india should have won 2-0 against a weak indies, it tamely drew the final math because of dhoni's foolish and ultra-defensive captaincy

dont worry, everyone thinks laxman's career is done . not many realise the fact that , dhoni could well have played his last test already.

we have suffered 7 consecutive defeats abroad because of poor performances of seniors like sachin, dravid and laxman and you seem to have excused them for their failures and trying to make a scapegoat out of dhoni...when the above three players are MORE to be blamed than dhoni...

dubeji it NOT dhoni but sachin, dravid and laxman who are EXPOSED...either you dont UNDERSTAND this or are trying to ACT as if you dont understand

pseudo: everybody knows how MANY times YOUR favourite captain ponting's brilliant captaincy (according to you) has been exposed...dhoni himself has exposed it MANY times...may i remind you that dhoni began his successful captaincy by playing against ponting's aussies in 2008 when he defeated them in the tri-series which was held in australia when aussie was no. 1 odi team and also playing at full strength while dhoni the first time captain played with a team full of youngsters with ONLY sachin of the old brigade who was a miserable failure in the league series and tried his best to throw us out of the finals scoring around 190 runs with an average of 23-24 runs...may i also remind you that ponting who captained against dhoni's (''supposedly'' brilliant captain) test team lost ALL 4 out of 4 matches to dhoni's team india...:-)

VAIDYA, i have never excused sachin, laxman etc...they should be dumped just like Dhoni...but hat i am saying is that DHONI has been the worst and the most rotten of them all FOR A VERY LONG TIME NOW

Against undies,Spot on.All Dhonis fault. But sachin for his enormous contribution in these 7 Tests only,Definitely Derserves Bharat Ratna...
Anything greater than 2 days would be disappointing for Aussies. Why is Clarke not looking at 2 day target.
They are continuously improving each match. 2nd Test over in 3 days. 4rd test over in 2.5 days and fourth test in 2 days. Thank God they dont 5 match series. That would get over in 1 day (going by the Aussies\'s Kolaveri Kangaroo attitude).
Then it would become 1 day cricket. That would be ultimate insult to the so called No.1 Test cricket team in the world. Isnt it ?
This shows that all rankings are just BAKWAAAS. Pure nonsense. Dont go by rankings. Go by what you see.
See its true that even English and Aussie teams come to India and get a taste of their own medicine , thanks to super slow, low bounce, spin friendly , turning tracks. But then those teams don\'t lose so horribly or pathetically. They dont finish the match in 2 or 3 days and tour Taj Mahal. They play atleast 4 days, if not 5 days, face our spin bowlers on the spinning pitches , face the severe Indian heat and humidity and also our screaming crowds and massive one sided supporters and cricket fanatics, the security related issues and all and still FACE and PLAY and LOSE in respectable way. Isn\'t it ?
Why then is India trying to make Test match into One Day cricket and constantly losing in lesser and lesser days ?

Why not. After all both Sehwag and Tendulkar will score less than 25 combined anyway. Our super intelligent cricket authorities idolize them anyway!

Pseudos ,
Please ask that 40 Averaging player, to watch the 1999 Brian Lara's classical Inn of 153 n.o, that helped WI chase 306 runs on a lively wicket of DAY 5 and that too facing Mcgrath and Warne (2 of the finest bowlers cricket has ever seen)...

If India is deemed to lose the series 0-4, they don't need Sachin/Dravid/Laxman. They could have well lost with Pujara/Badrinath/Raina. Atleast these players would have got some exposure to bouncy tracks and may be in future, they might have well contributed. Any good player can get 2 centuries and 2 half centuries in 20 Test Inn. That doesn't mean, some can go on and on and on ...there has to be a break and reality check done. The question to be asked is not 'What is this players contribution to the team at present?'. It should be 'What is this player's contribution to the team at present and going forward?'.
Aussies follow the 2nd one, and thus gave Waugh brothers a tough time to retire.I am sure Ricky Pointing woudnt be spared either. may be in 1 ur max months, he may have to leave as well. But our legends, retire only when they die.
