VVS LAxman wants to be dropped unceremonioulsy
by brian crasto on Jan 18, 2012 08:47 AM  | Hide replies

Inspite of his poor performance VVS wants to cling to his position. He is not interested in giving young players to prove themselves. Just because he scored a century against Australia and won the match doesnt mean he is superman, He retire gracefully and give the other players a chance

I don't think we're blaming Laxman alone. tghe point is that he is way past his prime and he needs to move on now. And very soon Dravid and Sachin will end as well.. But Laxman has been the poorest among the 3 seniors..

..and I agree Sehwag needs serious stick on his rear. He has been way to arrogant with ' this is how I play..' crap.. It's not working really

Sehwag is like a weapon, licensed to hit and hit hard. The day he strikes we can only win ! So the selectors should include really good batsmen right upto no.9 or 10 ! Only Sehwag can hit the ball the way he does. Batsmen like him are needed. We should include at least a couple of world class Allrounders ! Right now we don't have any !! We either have batsmen or bowlers but no allrounders of the caliber of Kapil Dev Nikhanj !!

"Selection" Process to help "Individual/Powerful&q
by Rakesh nair on Jan 18, 2012 08:41 AM  | Hide replies

A Player like "Rayadu" should have been "Groomed" who plays like "Dhoni"..
But "Dhoni" Refused to include "Rayadu" & Rather Included "Partiv" & "Saha",the 2 will never reach the level of "Batsmanship" & "Dhonis" position is "Safe".......
The "Understanding" between "Dhoni" & "Srikant" is GR8 to help "Dhoni" Consolidate his Position & not Think from "Nations" Perspective.
Same "Logic" with "Sachin",saw "Rohit Sharma" as "Threat" to his "Position" in "Team",immediately included in "IPL-MI" with "Hefty" paypackage.
"Srikant" is a "Lameduck" in the hands of "Powerful" & "Arrogant" plaers such as "Sachin","Dhoni" & "Sehwag" who are "Controlling "Team India" & "Earning" almost "90%" of "Team India".
"Srikant" is not thinking from "Nations" perspective, the prime Example is "Inclusion" of "Vinay Kumar" in the Side.
"Sachin" has really become a "Headache/Liability" for "India" & should be handed over "Captaincy" till he "Retires" so that he will "Try" to play for "Nation".

"Sachin" has "Balanced" all the things in "Life" except "India" Losing Consistently.
"Selection" should be done from "Nations" Perspective not from "Individual PLayers" Perspective who are "Earning" Crores of "Rupees".
Playing "Cricket" should be like "Service" for "Nation".
Bottom line is "Srikant" is a "Weak" Person like our "Prime Minister" & dont have "Mandate" to Take "Decisions".

"Selection" Commitee should Decide "Retiring"
by Rakesh nair on Jan 18, 2012 08:40 AM

These so called about to be "Retired" Players fate should be decided by "Selection" Commitee not by "Players".
These "Powerful" & "Arrogant" players are playing for "Nation" & not for there "Family" to decide.
These players are "Earning" Crores of Rupees & should not be shown any "Sympathy" after giving so many "Chances" after all its "Service" To "Nation".
I believe "VVS" is made "Scapegoat" & he is not "Earning" much as Compared to the "Powerful" Trio of "Sachin","Sehwag" & "Dhoni".

Laxman will never retire on his own
by Lotiya Pathan on Jan 18, 2012 08:13 AM

Laxman never had plan to retire from ODIs as well. When he was dropped from ODIs for the lack of performance, he kept crying for two yrs about that. He is not some one who is going to go on his own..

He must go now so the young player can get in get ready for the future of team India
