Dhoni outside india- biggest liability
by ASHISH KUMAR on Jan 15, 2012 01:25 PM

Dhoni test average outside
In WI 2006, 24
In SA 2006, 26
In AUS 2007, 17.62
In SLK 2009 17.5
In SA 2011, 35.8
In WI 2011- 19.5
( score of 0,16,2, 5 & 74(only one good inning when WI was operating with bowlers like bishoo/chandrapaul & front line bowler rampaul/shammi etc was resting due to injury).
In Eng 2011- 28.5 (last series)
In present Aus series- 23.0
Also dhoni after playing 27 T-20 intl has not scored a single fifty, no match winning inning, no MOM & pathetic strike rate of 105 (one of the lowest for any batsman in T-20 at his batting position)
In ODI overseas also he is a big failure as batsman who never perform when require due to limited batting ability & has hardly won any important ODI outside india with his batting.
He is a flop wicketkeeper also in last 3 series where dropped many catches.
He has no overseas century outside subcontinent in any format of game after playing 7 yrs of cricket while even batsman like kumble/agarkar has overseas century batting at no.9.
He is the biggest liability as a batsman in Indian team for lat 7 yrs.
Dhoni Overseas test captaincy record- Win-5, Loss- 10, Draw-06
Win includes Bng, WI, NZL, Slk

Dhoni is best
That’s why doing rest.
hehehe

IPL should be banned
by Manisha Kumar on Jan 15, 2012 01:25 PM

IPL is certainly having a detrimental effect on the techniques of young players. All these young players have adapted their techniques to hit hapless bowlers on placid wickets and short boundaries because they get their bread & butter from IPL. They are clueless while facing a genuine pacer under helpful conditions. I don't think any young Indian batsman has caliber to play fast and swing bowling on green tops. Even if we replace the current batsmen with other batsmen, situation will not improve. BCCI is least bothered because they get the moolah from IPL.

Okie Drop Laxman and Dravid
by Think Again on Jan 15, 2012 01:22 PM

Okie, as per common man's request lets drop laxman and dravid and get in Rohit sharma and Rahane. But why there is so much hype for Rohit sharma, I think he is more popular since he is out of team , once in team he will have no supporters.Problem is with BCCI for the kind of pitches we have, also what abt bowling playing vinay kumar in perth ..Warner was hitting him like a school kid...people see problem only in Dravid and laxman.. i see problem everywhere else Gambhir and sehwag are getting benefit because of hype to drop seniors...

Double standards
by mohdkalim Akhtar on Jan 15, 2012 01:21 PM  | Hide replies

If a game finishes in 2 and half days in india it is a sub-standard pitch. If in australia the same thing happens, it is still a fair pitch.

Akhtar:

:-)... No comment on the teams? :-)
If tests get over in 4 days, 4 days and 2.5 days then India should stop playing tests.

WARNER IS NO VIV RICHARDS IT WAS MORE POOR BOWLING !!
by Rohit Maroli on Jan 15, 2012 01:17 PM  | Hide replies

We all are talking abt dropping seniors but on such tracks do you think rahane or sharma or widdhiman saha will survive ? I dont think so....agreed the indian bastman have played patheticaly but we do not need wickets like perth where every second ball swings and seams...tat warner got 181 i personaly feel was due to poor bowling ..THIS IS NOT A PITCH WHERE ONE CAN SCORE 181 IN RUN OER BALL....LETS FACE IT MORE THAN WARNER INDIAN BOWLING IN FIRST INNINGS WAS PEDESTRIAN... a totaly inconsistent ishant sharma who pitches short...no line length...an easily tiring zaheer after 4 overs.... a rookie in yadav ...who will get more off days than on...and a cartoonish dibbly dobbly vinay kumar bowling at 117 kmph at perth !!! and u expect to win matches..? Batsman have played badly no doubt...and apart from kohli all need to be kicked out including the over rated sachin tendulkar... and our bowllers barring Yadav should be discarded and fresh bowlers shd be groomed and found...i am reiterating again its not a pitch where one can score 181 run per ball...as every second balls seams and zips past..warner is no viv richards....!!!!

Everybody was after Kohli till the beginning of this test. Now people want Kohli and axe everybody else?

The issue here is that there wer no two batsmen who had big socres in the same innings.

Sachin looked the most comfortable of all Indian batsmen.Of course all 3 have to retire.

But i think Laxman is goign to be the fall guy with Rohit sharma in.

Also Viru's contempt for the pitch conditions will cause his downfall.

Early 2013 when Australia visit India, woudl be probably the last seried for Dravid and Sachin.

Agree with u on most things but,,All say sachin looked comfortable but wat has he done..?? Nothing...his performance in the series in england and australia have been dismal and if form is the criteria to drop players then he should be dropped first as dravid played well in england with 3 tons....

Series lost... now moving on:
by Gorango Thakurta on Jan 15, 2012 01:16 PM

Australia clearly did their homework and knew exactly how to get each Indian batsman out (e.g., Dravid bowled 5/6 times). Man-to-man they were quicker, stronger and smarter than the Indians.

Now that the series is lost, India should start afresh. Playing the old stars again, is basically giving them a chance to redeem their spineless performance and making personal milestones. Also, why would you go into battle with a gun that is known to fail?

IMHO, India should rest Dravid, Laxman, Dhoni and Vinay Kumar; and play Rahane, Sharma, Saha and Ojha in those spots.

But hey, I am a common man. Who listens to the common man in India? No one.
