Who is Madan Lal ?
by Kalank Sharma on Jan 14, 2012 08:09 PM  | Hide replies

What are Madan Lal's achievements to comment on the team ? Just being part of a WC 1983 winning team does not give him the right to comment on the retirement of accomplished players like VVS and Dravid.

Kalank - Any Indian Fan loving Indian Cricket have the right to comment on Indian cricket.
Everyone wants Indian team to perform and fight for the pride. Win and loss is always there. However, there is no instinct of fight in this Indian team.

The answer is what is your achievement in commenting on Madan Lal's comment? He was at least an utility player to have occassionally tasted success in the early and mid 80s.

Very true. He used to play for India, not for his personal record. He always had delivered to the best of his ability.

He was called a fast spinner by Viv Richards. That shows Madal Lal's calibre. HaHaHa..

may be he was a slow bowler, but he was a gutsy cricketer.

But at least Viv called him that.. did Viv ever call you anything. If as a nothing you have a right to coment on Madan Lal then why question his authority in asking the same question to other seemingly more illustrious players?

Dravid Retirement
by Kannan on Jan 14, 2012 08:06 PM

Dravid was the highest run getter for 2011. This series so far he is the second. Why are you asking for his scalp? If failure in two tests is the yard stick-why were you silent against Sachin in England? R.Kannan

Think !!!

There is a wise saying that if we do anything again and again for 16 times repeatedly, then that becomes habit to the individual.
I hope India is going to repeat to eight times consecutive loss in test cricket by the time, the series ends.
Hope, we are close to half of that count. If BCCI not wake up now, this habit is going to be a disaster to Indian Cricket.

100th 100 first before the team
by Siva Balakrishnan on Jan 14, 2012 08:01 PM  | Hide replies

Set up a 5 match series with Bangladesh or Kenya(giving it Test status) and let Tendulakar score his 100th 100. Then you can change the whole team.

let him get it soon at least against Bangladesh-otherwise his son will be playing along side him. Our shameless cricket admin will not have the guts to ask him to retire. R Kannan
