The usual talk of poor batting technique is a mental ploy. Gambhir has scored well in NZ and SA and India almost won the series in the last SA tour.
India's rise over the last few years has been because of Gambhir and Sehwag scoring runs along with Dravid to keep Sachin and the lower middle order from the new ball.
Since the last England tour, the top order has been out of sync and with not enough runs on the board the bowling attack has been under pressure. The important thing is to not lose a wicket too early, because overseas totals are smaller compared to India. Because of this trend the media tends to mentally psych the players into thinking poor technique.
We cannot blame the Indian batting greats for our overseas performances. Zaheer fitness issues and poor support bowling has also caused losses. The parallel development of a world class bowling attack was never considered and India for most of the time managed to survive just on strong middle order.
The attack of Ishant, Yadav and Varun along with a spinner like Rahul Sharma or Monish Parmar who is in the class of Murali wiil give India the new look Test attack capable of winning Tests abroad more frequently than in the 2000-2010 time frame which was already improved from the 1990-2000 time frame.
India's top current batsman Aswin will destroy Australian Attack. While while others go go-carting, sign endorsement deals and are busy showing fingers
Please remember that Tendulkar is highest run getter so far in this series Please add tally of Virat Kohali, Gambhir and Sehawag and Dhoni himself Why nobody is talking about their performance?
Sachin, Veeru, Laxman And Dravid. They all are great players and with this experience will become greater. There is always some positive from this tour.
Please do not spent our precious game for sport or game 22 persons are playing and a few hundreds are gaining their bread. Be creative and look for better things.
Firt Dohni Must resign. Particularly Indian young player visted Austre;ia for Picnic not for playing. Not allow there wife along with them . Secondly they never using modern advance techonlogy for searching opposition team weakness. They just going for enjoyment. In my view all old player must selected.

Bigger may not be but talented he is so deserves one more chance. In any case oldies cannot play forever.

You are correct. India should use five bowlers alwyas to fight the match because India is very weak in bowling.

F! Why everyone is targetting VVS. He is a hero, who has won India many test matches then like anyone else in Indias history. When he was inform and was a regular in world cup he was replaced from World cup team, Gundappa Vishwanath conspired to put two rookies from Karnataka in his place Direcly into worldcup and India failed miserably in that world cup. VVS never had chance to represent his country in World cup, and even now everyone is after him leaving more elderly Sachin and Dravid.
Everyone including Ganguly calls for Young blood, I understand Ganguly is jealous of the other big three. But are the young players any good playing test. Imagine team with Rohit(he is a bit better), Yuvraj and Raina in place of Sachin, VVS and Dravid. India would have bowled our for less than 150 in all the matches.
Mithun is a slow bowler, this breed should be shown the door if India wants any respect. Young bowlers should be entertained only if they are around 150 mark. Ohterwise they should never be part of Indian team.
