Break Records but lacks the winning mantra
by PANKAJ MEHTA on Jan 07, 2012 03:34 PM  | Hide replies

I would be interested to see more of a team performance, then the players only playing for self recognition and to create and break newer records. I am sure taking back all the endorsements from every player, probably will make them play for the country. Its the companies to be blamed and the IPL that has spoiled the teams interest in International cricket. Am sure there is lot of talent in the country provided they get an opportunity, then having zone restrictions in selecting people.

Look at Clarke declaring when he is 325 Not Out and could very well have scored 400 Plus!

Please suggest this to Pranav da. This will ease out the inflation and poor men would be able to get the goods at a competitive rate.

Muslims are natural fast bowlers - Give them a fair chance
by safi bobde on Jan 07, 2012 03:21 PM  | Hide replies

Being a Muslim,I know the strength of the community.Muslims are meat eaters with natural Strength, Stamina, guts. They however lack discipline.

We have in defense the Sikh regiment, the Gorkha regiment and the Maratha's.In administrative services we have the south Indians. So what is wrong if we accept and promote this huge potential of our Muslim population in sports. We have to recognize our strength to avoid such shameful defeats year after year.

The children of the community should be promoted rather than being denied the opportunity.

Even if India has all the Eleven playing members as Muslim,we should not be bothered as long as they bring honor and respect to the country. So recognize their talent and award them the status of sports community of the country.

This will not only give them a sense of inconclusiveness and make them proud to contribute to their country but will also bring out the best of patriotic response from them. Jai Hind!

We are talking about giving chances to promote fast bowlers. If there is a biased due to religion that should be removed so that we get the right players.

The whole of pakistan is in pits.We do not need to emulate them. Hope you get my message in the right spiritS1

Safi please stop speaking through the hat. Half the problems of Muslims will be solved the day they stop blaming others or God for their condition. Moreover the advantage of being naturally strong doesn't come from eating meat. To keep the records straight, most of the non muslim players are also meat eaters but the natural tendency depends more on genetics. The other factors are healthy food habits, a healthy physical regimen and proper training. For the latter it is required to have good financial status. Therfore work upon improving education and competitive outlook and rest will take care of itself.
And last but not the least, RESERVATION MUST BE ABOLISHED FOR ALL. Everyone should compete at equal footing.

I think Mr.Kazmi has put it much better than me. If I had got it wrong,Mr. Kazmi has corrected me .It has got to do with Genetic Dispostion and Other factors.Lets find out the genetically fit people and give them all the other factors such as healty food , proper training regimen etc. without distinction of caste, creed or religion.

BCCI should allow Indian Players to play in County matches in England to get practice to accustom to all conditions. This will boost the players confidence.
Now physchologically aware that they cannot play long innnings and may get out for low score.

BCCI is a Private Ltd. Company to maximise PROFIT thro' Cricket
at the expense of a gullible Public. They will make Pitch Conditions favourable for the Rainas and Kohlis to score tens of centuries at Home so that the mad crowd in India will fill their Coffers. The same Players naturally cut a sorry figure abroad where the Ball Moves. BCCI and those fed by it wont care if India wins or loses by miles!

Shameless
by indira on Jan 07, 2012 03:08 PM  | Hide replies

Even as our team is being humiliated by the Aussies, the BCCI has shamlessly announced the schedule for the next IPL season. Shameless indeed! It shows that the board is interested only in making money and not bothered about the image of the team. This attitude has rubbed onto the players also. They are also playing like as if they are doing some routine work and are eagerly waiting for this tour to end so that they can go and play IPL as if nothing happened. Shameless board and hsameless team! This IPL shoul be banned. For this the fans should makt it a flop by boycotting it. If the stands are empty IPL will stop. I stopped watching IPL after the 1st season as I felt that most of the matches are fixed.

kick that ktaka dravid out and bring badrinath who has done so well in the ranji matches. the wall is selfish and dropped the easy catch of hussey when hussey was not yet settled just bcos the credit would go to our ashwin
also remove careless sehwag and bring mukund in his place. gambhir should be given one more chance if he doesnt perform then bring back matchwinner murali vijay
at any cost both mithun chakravarti and vinay kumar should not be included
