Utter Nonsense
by Face Dude on Jan 06, 2012 06:16 PM

Dhoni messages after test matches are utter nonsense... When the whole country is watching helplessly how we are beaten the daylights out by the aussies in all deparrtment.. when its raging fire in everyones mind on seeing how the indian players ate the 'sht' of the aussies.... Dhooni tries to calm down everyone as if nothing has happened.

First of all remove all the so called sophisticated crackpots. get some good cricket players who will win matches abroad.

2nd Test: Report Card
by abc_xyz abc_xyz on Jan 06, 2012 05:23 PM  | Hide replies

Sehwag --> 0/10 (He is the only option to captian India should Dhoni be rested/sacked/injured..and hence should be more responsible in his shot selection and not play T20 brand of cricket in Tests)

Gambhir --> 2/10 (Scored some handy runs in the 2nd Inn, after being under tremendous pressure for lack of form. Holds his place for the next test)

Dravid --> 0/10 (is not in his elements in this series so far ..its time he pulls up his socks and shows his true form)

Tendulkar --> 3/10 (by far, the best indian batsmen in this series..hope he gets to his landmark, that would allow him to play freely)

Laxman --> 1/10 (bad in the 1st inn, was ok in the 2nd inn, but should look forward to play more of match winning/saving innings)

Kohli --> 0/10 (Lucky to have played this test match in the first place...failed yet again and his sacking is inevitable)

Dhoni --> 1/10 (Held one side of the wicket in the 1st Inn..other than that did nothing great..Should improve overall, else Saha is waiting to grab the chance)

Ashwin --> 2/10 (was reasonably good with the ball with good economy figures in the context of the match, and excellent with the bat in both innings)

Zaheer --> 4/10 (The only real performer in this test match, with 3 quick wickets, a fast 45 with the bat)

Ishant --> 1/10 (Bowled well in patches..but was unimpressive most times)

Umesh --> 0/10 ( listless with his bowling, leaked too many runs, nowhere near his best)

Why can't Zaheer be the captain. He is real aggressive and experienced cricketer.

It is time to show door for Dhoni, Laxman, and Virat Kohli and a stern warning for Sehwag to perform or perish......

It was only Sachin who has been consistent in his batting at least halfway the century in every innings.... rest are all bloated with egos and are duds.

You and the media are hyping him. Has he asked you to hype him to that level? He has scored at an average of 56 in this series which is as high as his career average. None of the other batsmen have managed even anywhere near him. If a person is playing better than others in the team, it does not matter if he is 18 or 28 or 58, he must be allowed to play and the best team chosen.

Ban IPL players in Test Cricket
by Dwipayan Das on Jan 06, 2012 04:57 PM  | Hide replies

Again and again i am saying IPL(T20) is the cause.Don't allow those players who want to play IPL into Test format.Give them the option to choose between Money & Pride.Selector please do it if you want future of Indian cricket team or make Test cricket obsolete from India.

What you said in 100% correct, but 100% impractical to be employed in a country like ours. Here Cricketers dont play for just passion or pride. They play for Money and Fame also.

When India bats it is bowling pitch; When India bowls it is a batting pitch.

body language
by veerapuram dharan on Jan 06, 2012 04:16 PM

body language is a key ingredient when one gets into the field. if we look at dhoni during inaugural T20 WC, his aggression was visible, whether setting the field , making any fine adjustments, talking to the bowler if hes hit for runs etc..these are signs of a good body language..this was missing since the tour of eng..

he somewhere lost aggression and unable to control the seniors if they were wrong..

Even Sri Lanka is doing better in SA...they even beat SA and in the current test, though they may lose it, yet they scored more than 200 runs in both innings... what our GREATS together have done ? less than 200 we have already seen in two out of four innings already played.....what can we expect from them
