Game Plan for survival
by Ramanujam Jagannathan on Jan 05, 2012 01:50 PM  | Hide replies

14 hours are left for indian to battle for survival. They should have plan like this.
Sachin & Gambir to partner for 3 more hours; then Sachin & Laxman to partner to play for 2 hours ; Laxman & Kohli to paly out for 3 hours; Kohli & Dhoni to consume another 3 hours; Dhoni & Ashwwin to play out the remaining hours to the close of the Test match; Thus 14 hours in total can be planned this way to save the match. The role of Zahher, Ishant & Umesh to achieve the Object of playing for draw can be thought of as reserve to be utilises if need be. Also rain forecast may paly its role to India\\\'s cause as we should pray. So, Chances are still there for India to save this match. Good Luck! India

better plan is - moved forward. take rest for one and half days and enjoy sight seeing in Sydney. try to draw remaining matches. 2-0 is better than 4-0. plan C fake injuries and than defend your lose to injuries.

coaches
by veerapuram dharan on Jan 05, 2012 01:50 PM

gary was successful because he was raw, young and a work ethic. during our tour to SA, he made all our batsmen to play 3000 balls each in the nets..

john wright was successful because his coaching methods were pioneering in those days. like when we toured Aus in 2003, he engaged bruce reid and greg chapps to help our players..we all know the result..even dada resurrected his career by knocking a hundred in brisbane..

never wonder this master coach has plotted the downfall of the aus recently against the kiwis..

duncan is a failed coach or a late success man..during his tenure, eng used to beat only the WI and lose badly against all other teams, home and away..only after lolsing three ashes, eng won it in 2005 after a gap of 18 years. if thats the case, in order for ind to win a series in aus, it would take three more series defeats before tasting success there..hes not young either..better to knock him off sooner than later..

sack the oldies
by sai krishna on Jan 05, 2012 01:42 PM  | Hide replies

It is better get rid of the old players from the team. Laxman, Dravid, Tendulkar with more than 300 tests experience, if they not able to score runs. It is better to change them. Whatever the trio have achieved are History. We lost pathetically in England and we are in course of doing it in Australia as well. Losing a series is not a problem let us loss with new players give chance to younger players so that they could gain some experience outside India. Persisting with these oldies lossing series after series will not help anybody.

Gambhir -30, Sehwag-32 Kohli-22 except Sehwag Rest two are Okay with their age. Think Sachin-39, Dravid-40, Laxman-37 I think there is no retirement age for Cricketers

at least they have future unlike sachin & co. It will be wiser if we select a junior lot and persist with them even we lose some series.

DECLARE?

WHY DID AUSTRALIA DECLARE? Clarke should have batted on until he was out and declared thereafter. He could have set up a big record.
