India beat Aus in WC 2011 QF,2010 Test series 2-0 and 2008 Test series 2-0.
All those defeats must have hurt Ricky especially.
It is about time they inflict the same on India

India took one wicket for 622 runs and relied on declaration from Clarke.
But to be fair the pitch is not bowling conducive although this is the best indian attack

Congrats Michael Clarke you were absolutely superb. It is tough to score a 300 score in Tests.
He could have made 400 and Hussey 200 .But that is what separates a good leader from rest.
Clarke knows that pitch has gone completely flat and Rain is expected on day4.So it was correct call

Sachin - 'Getting 100th Century is easier said than done'
by Aditya on Jan 05, 2012 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

I remember his 50th Test century when he scored against SAF. India were on the verge of losing by an innings and this man was after his century. As soon as he got his 100 he flung his helmet out and literally jumped up (you can watch that match to confirm) while completing the run. It was as if India had won the WC or atleast won the match. His true intentions came out that day when he was so overjoyed he got his 50th ton...'to hell with India, I got my 100'.
He is such a panvati to Indian cricket..whenever he scores a 100 India lose. The height of this is that he scored a 100 for Mumbai Indians in IPL and MI lost.. what better proof u want.
If u are a true fan of the country and u want India not to lose, just pray Tendliya never gets a century

Wind breez in first day morning was better exploited by Austrlian fast bowlers than Indians fast bowlers that is why we lost two wickets in second innings also that too Drawwwwid and Taklu Really on pitch where Ricky Pointing gets his 100 after 2 years Sehwag and Dravid fail means there is some problem with our method of standing bating we are professional so must pay for our mistakes as in professional cricket there cost of every mistake

Only if Sachin stays in the middle can India manage a draw. Even Dravid scored 2 hundereds in England but the team lost all the matches. In the 1st match this series Sachin didn't score 100. Did India win? If he scores and India loses, it means the other player are not able to play on that pitch which again shows the greatness of Sachin

it was his century in 3rd test same series which saved that match. our of score of 2360 he made 146. and second inning he remained not out. in first test atleast he scored 100 want were other 10 players doing. making century in test in achievement. if you score that itself means that the player atleast fighted. but you want everybody to get out below 100.

Aditya,
I would rather take a selfish player who scores consistently than take someone who scores once in a blue moon. In the current state that Indian team is in, Sachins purported selfishness or selflessness is an irrelevant discussion
