WHERE IS OUR GREAT SPINNER ASWIN?
by subrata banerjee on Jan 04, 2012 03:14 PM  | Hide replies

See the great performer on indian soil is showing poorest performance on his maiden foreign tour. I was certain, that he will be great flop abroad as he is lacking every good qualities of good spinner. But Harbhajan is still the best spinner of our country and he has been thrown out and included a club level spinner like Aswin as he took highest wickets on indian spinning tracks. But he is not having variety of flight, turn off the wicket is very slow and small, NO DUSRA (the main trick of great harbhajan). The fate of Aswin will be like Mendis of srilanka. Now see how many wickets aswin gets in australia in 4 test matches and how many runs he concieded.

Ashwin is not a spinner in overseas conditions. Ojha should have been in his place. But due to the friendship of Dhoni and Ashwin, he is getting chances.

no foreign spinner has ever succeeded in aus conditions..even bhajji or ojha would have been easily given away centuries..

boss think abt this..
Aussies know their conditions better than us..and their spinner Lyon would have hardly bowled 50 overs in the series..
so its obvious that it is PACE which will win us matches..not spin..get real boss

Amazing Score-line
by A Singh on Jan 04, 2012 03:11 PM

The Australian Score-line suggests athat our bowling and fielding capabilities fully match up to our batting capabilities.

How many overs will India's 2nd innings last?
by C Z on Jan 04, 2012 03:00 PM  | Hide replies

Lets do our predictions? For simplicity lets chose between- 25 overs / 50 overs / 75 overs / 100 overs / >100 overs.
Just a small request: lets keep this conversation respectful.

pride and honor
by Baskar Guha on Jan 04, 2012 02:54 PM  | Hide replies

When will the Indian team start playing for pride and honor in this away series. Millions of their fans feel bad because of their listless performances. Show some fire. Show some intent. You may lose but go down fighting. Dont see that and that is really disappointing.

at least sachin can not perform this when Indian cricket badly needed good performance from him. This is the pathetic history of sachin. He fails to score when india needs runs badly.

i hope australia will declare their innings after scoring round about 700 within lunch as they will start to attack the bowlers right from the early of the day 3 and should reach a very very big total, so that, they will be requiered to bat again. After declaring the austrialian team will jump with 4 pacers with fantastic speed and bounce keeping the field placement very aggressive.

Who cares about test cricket?
by Santa on Jan 04, 2012 01:14 PM  | Hide replies

Each of our players (even Ranji players) is worth billions of rupees, thanks to the IPL. Who would want to stand in hot sun for 5 days, where as you play for 3 hours and enjoy with beautiful gir1s post-match, in IPL. I guess, it's high time we groom a national team, comprising players who do not play in "commercial" tournaments and who can play for national pride. We have seen enough instances of good players getting spoilt because of the "phukat-ka-maal" earned in IPL.
