Check cricinfo.com to see ball by ball run for Sachin and Sehwag scoring 200 in one day. You will see who was playing for records. Sehwag got out at 294 against Sri lanka....he could have scored 300 and only person in the world to have 3 triple hundred...but he is the guy who plays cricket for us..to make us enjoy the game...I salute this guy....

He is not rested for fitness. He is rested because IPL is the next tournment after Asia Cup so they want him to take rest and play in IPL. Playing for India and performing is not that much important than Playing in IPL & performing.
As for Sachin Tendulkar selectors gave thought that might be Sachin can score a century against Bangladesh and get retired. After all he is still playing for that one century only na.
