Sachin's performance
by subrahmanyam sarma on Feb 27, 2012 03:36 PM  | Hide replies

He is the top Indian scoresr and second among all in the worlcup last year. Having crucial manofthematch award. Same is the track in tests too. His First four innings in the australian tests are good. He had 50 score in ODI and shown good touch. But When one fail few times, then the world will pounce on. But compare the contributions that he did with remaining india and then should be judged.

Ofcourse since he achieved almost everything he needs retirement even though he is still better than other indian cricketers in the last one year.

Sachin is a Cricket god. He will decide when to retire. No one need to tell him. and no one has the rights to tell...

SACHIN IS TRAVELLING BACKWARDS FOR SURE
by damodaran mohan on Feb 27, 2012 03:23 PM  | Hide replies

It was not Gautam who called for the single but it was Sachin who called for the non-existent run.The author should watch the video replay properly.Even if Lee had not blocked his way Sachin would not have made it.This is not suggest that Lee was innocent. However this is what happens when a batter is low on confidence and starts getting self doubt about his abilities. As Neil Harvey, a former Don colleague has rightly said Sachin is travelling backwards and perhaps the lure of money is making it do that.He will retire only after getting thoroughly humiliated and disgraced.

it happens to all great sportsmen who do not know when to retire or having retired try comebacks that prove embarassing. in sachin's case, the weight of the 100th 100 increases with every match. since his last international 100 (world cup) he is unable to shake off this weight - it's like the old man on sinbad's back who refuses to get down

Earlier Indian team leaves Australia is better.
by itz Scorpion on Feb 27, 2012 03:02 PM  | Hide replies

Earlier Indian team leaves Australia is better. There is NO fight left in this team like there wasn't any during their last summer tour of England. May be BCCI should think seriously about the performance related contract for all category A players. Time has come for Shewag and Sachin to ask them selves what they are doing to Indian Team!!!

i think the indian team is trying to send a message to the world after being wipedout completely in england and now in australia - there is no will to participate in tough tours overseas. instead everybody will suddenly be superfit to play the full IPL season 5

sachin should not retire?
by venkatram reddy on Feb 27, 2012 03:01 PM  | Hide replies

He should not retire until the age of 60 as the indian govt as set that age for retirement. It is unlawful to ask an indian to retire before the age of 60. He will play until the age of 60 along with the great grand children of lee, ponting, lara.
so I urge all the guys to support with patience until his retirement age.
