Lee - one of few Aussies known for genuineness
by Sethu on Feb 27, 2012 02:25 PM

Lee remained static since Tendulkar started running and had Sachin facing his back. so not sure where Sachin is runinng towards. so we should not treat a real sportsmanship this way. I am die hard fan of Sachin who made me to love this game. but from yesterday's event, he seems like frustrated in dragging himself towards his mega milestone. I have never seen him pointing others in the field for excuse. His bat has been speaking a lot than himself, for a very long time. Not sure now

Having blocked, they should have been gentlemanly in withdrawing the appeal as was done by Indians.

There was NO BLOCKING, It was Blind running of Sachih that caused his wicket.

Agreed hussey and Brett cheated
by venkatram reddy on Feb 27, 2012 02:18 PM  | Hide replies

OK, lets say hussey and Brett cheated.
The score was 252 which was achievable.
what were other players doing ,why did not they batted well?
More over sachin is not a master blaster anymore who can hit lusty shots, he is old and his reflexes are gone. he needs to retire and give chance to youngsters? why he is not retiring gracefully?
I just want to ask one question, why he is not playing the way he played in sharjah against aussies anymore?

Mr . Venkat, The spirit of the game has gone. Well the discussion here is not abt the target achievable; Most of the Australians do not play upto the spirit of the game & now most of us are shocked that even Brett Lee has behaved like this.

BRETT, I TELL U...... THIS IS NOT GOING TO TAKE U TO ANY GREATER HEIGHTS.

I already said that , let us assume (may be wrong word) or may be it is evident that they cheated and not played to the spirit of the game and you can throw mud at brett? but my question is one incident of tendulkar getting out should not effect indian teams victory ? what were other doing?

DHONIE TALK SENSE
by PARSHAN on Feb 27, 2012 02:18 PM  | Hide replies

Come to sense Mr Dhoni and don't talk Bullshit by defending Sachin. Sachin always look for an excuse for his wickets. Be sensible Mr Dhoni. We all have watched on TV that Bret Lee had no intention of blocking Sachin, it was Sachin's mistake while running he should have paid attention to Bret Lee. Blindly running will cause damage. Shame on Sachin .

Two wrongs does not make a right. The fact that sachin is merely lucky to have many lives in most innings does not mean he should be penalised with an unsportsmanly run out - dhoni talks sense, it does not make sense only to the senseless.

Absolutely. There is no reason what so ever for a bowler to cross the pitch and stand in the way of the non-striker when the ball is played in to point direction. AUSSIES are CHEATS. DHONI always talk sense.

it clearly shows that bret lee blocked that way.. becz he was running left side then turned into right and then he knew that he cant take the ball he knew that sachin is comng behind and simply standing in the way .atleast he should runaway from that way but he was not doing it.so many incidents happened like thiss...and moreoever aussie never played any gentlemen cricket till now...

Mistakes of Tendulkar
by Sethu on Feb 27, 2012 02:17 PM  | Hide replies

1. He took right of Lee, which earned him extra distance. so couldn't make it at the end.

2. He could have tried for full length dive.

See the run-out before you comment
by Anoop Raghavan on Feb 27, 2012 02:15 PM  | Hide replies

Even through being a huge Sachin fan, I feel there was no run. Even if he hadn't been blocked by Brett Lee, he would have been run-out (only difference is it might have gone to the 3rd Umpire). Brett Lee was not even looking behind so most probably not on purpose.

yes, i agree , if brett was looking at tendulkar and came in the way of SRT, we can blame him. he did not even looking at SRT.
