What an argument!! As if the converse is also true! Because the team is going through transition, it is a Powerful team! The trouble is: we have never seen a team going through transition like this!

Bcus, he does not in the consideration of rotation policy... According to Dhoni, rotation is only for the first three batsmen... It does not applicable for Raina, Rohit Sharma etc even after a string of failures...
it is not the matter of transition it up to the selection of good players look at theChandimal,Prerra, both are new but they are giving good performance consistently But ravinder ,Raina, virat,Ashwin, Vinay all these are useless, Select Robin Uthappa,Harbhajan ,Yusuf phathan,RP singh,Sourabh Tiwari
2008 - australia in india from then on, india played mostly in the subcontinent except for 2 series - one in NZ (1-0 win), and one in SA (1-1). in SL, India managed 1-1 draw. so by winning mostly at home, india became no.1. The great WI team of 70s/80s crushed opponents in their homes in the era of home umpires australia also had wins home and abroad and therefore it was creditable
india as no.1 test team - by winning at home only - it must be taken with a pinch of salt

its not like that.. we love cricket..but losing or winning is part of the game. But hurts when ur team lose a game without any fight..
And, abt BCCI : its one of the uncivilised Org run by few cr00ks...nothing more and nothing less.
Eng (took more than a decade) and Aus are the only two teams who ve gone through such transition process.
Apart from these two I can't see any other teams.
India, Pak and SriLanka are always gone through ups and down..they never go straight up or down.
WI ; They are only at downside since early and mid 90s. NZ : They have similar situation like WI, but with many all rounders, sometime they give you stunning result. SA : They never down, but they never up either. They are always in top 3, but they perished during knock out rounds..in all major tournaments.. ZIM : Once upon a time, they were one of the finest team in early 90s and mid 90s...due to poltical instability, many of them forced to retire or sheltered in Eng, SA or Aus. Since, then they are at down side. Kenya : Once they were playing good cricket nd upset major teams ( Look at 2003 WC), but due to bad policy and development programs by ICC...they lost interest in cricket. Bangladesh : Not sure, how many chances they need to show that ve talents (if any). Ireland and Afganistan : Are the two teams ICC should give them ODI status without any delay. Both teams ve fighting spirit and good players who can show their talent in big arena.
Due to lack of promotion and development from ICC : teams like Holland, UAE, Bermuda, Nambia, Scotland, and Canada have no future in cricket.
