is srinivisan hiding the truth?
by Jugal Ahuja on Feb 25, 2012 12:21 PM  | Hide replies

TOI sports journalist, covering the australian tour, described the scene(sitting pattern) in the team bus going to brisbane airport, for the team catching the sydney flight. sehwag & gambhir;zaheer & irfan;dhoni& raina;parthiv patel & jadeja;virat & rohit;umesh yadav & praveen kumar;ashwin & vinay kumar;manoj tiwary & rahul sharma; were sitting side by side in the 2x2 seating system. sachin was sitting alone, all by himself,no fletcher or any other support staff sitting with him. this scene reflects the team being divided into regions, states, castes, religous preferences etc. why is srinivasan trying to cover up the truth of cracks in the team? also the sitting pattern shows sachin's complete isolation from the other team members. sachin should own up that he is completely engrossed in getting that elusive 100, which has cut him off from the rest of the team.

Its wrong perception. We can also generalise that being senior most player, because of high regards/respect, juniors are not sitting with him. there is no harm in it. think positively

Unfortunately, Sachin has more enemies and more fans than anyone. His 100 cannot cut him from the rest of the players.

And this explanation from TOI is as good as MTV roadies coverage by Peace TV :)

What powerful team?

Mr Srinivasan. You agree that the BCCI team is the most useless and the players dont give their 100%. If you have seen yesterday s match, the Srilankan captain led from the front and there is no ego clash with other former captains Sanga and Dilshan. But our team is like Navagraha and there are many divisions within the team. First teach them behavioural science before selecting.

Transition
by Indian In on Feb 25, 2012 11:22 AM  | Hide replies

I suggest lets not wait for any transition to happen. In case we find any player out of form, pl rest him and include someone who can really deliver so that our pride is kept. this is not the way of managing things. its utter mismanagement.

why not have a new team ? the aim is to win matches and who plays is not important.

Let the transition take its own course and time. But when we really find any player not delivering, then we must rest such players and include those who can deliver. There should not be any excuse for this. Why this is not being done ? We are not saying drop Sachin or Sehwag or Dhoni... in case they are not delivering - the purpose for which they are kept in the team, rest them and include someone who can deliver. that will resolve all issues at once i guess.

But that transition should happen and not just be talks. Pain during transitions is to be expected. But BCCI only talks about transition and never does anything in a planned fashion. Sleeping till late and then knee jerk reactions is BCCIs way of life.
