Hats off to Australia Selection committee in making strong decisions in the middle of series. When will our Selection committe act like this and retain people who are consistent in performance.

People like Raina,Sachin,Rohit,Sehwag,Praveen,Zaheer etc needs to be dropped.

sachn working for his records
by anand Swaminathan on Feb 20, 2012 11:56 AM

The best way we can resolve this issue is that BCCI should call tour either Nigeria or Zimbawae so that SRT complete his milestone. I think he can retire from all forms of cricket. My view is that his present record should not beaten by any cricketer atleast for next 15-20 years. It is time for him to take the call. Because of these old horses, we are unable to give opportunity to the youngsters.

I am very happy with Dhoni that he understood the present position and would like to give more opportunity to the Youngsters. The youngsters should grab the golden opportunity in both the hands.

It is time for BCCI to rebuild the team.

HONOURABLE TO RETIRE WITH GRACE
by SRIDHAR RAGHUNATHARAO on Feb 20, 2012 11:44 AM  | Hide replies

When we had a total white wash in test matches against Aussies, everyone criticised Dravid, Lakshman and other seniors but not SRT who is consistently not performing since our series against WI, England and now Australia. It's not just that. SRT finds place in every format of our matches excepting when he himself opts out.
In yesterday's match, it was unbelievable for his standings, about his shaky facing of Australian bowlers and walking out. His fielding, especially in 3rd and 4 th ball of 25 th over from Yadav proved that age factor has set in him and that he is a spent force. How long should we risk our series for his once best playing and long depriving long list of waiting youngsters ?
Dear Sri Sachin, please retire gracefully on your own without waiting for your long eluding 100th ton. These continuous poor performances will certainly fast eclipse your best records of the past. Most importantly, you will loose the credibility and the admiration of cricket loving public of the world which is very important after your cricketing career. We wish to see you with respect like Bradman, Sobers, Lloyd, Richards etc. etc.

I agree totally........too bad Indian players just dont know when to call it quits and it takes either the jibes of the fans or a spunky decision from the selectors to send them packing at the end of their careers. Not one player will announce his pwn retirement and leave gracefully. They need to learn from the Aussies and the Kiwis on how and when to retire

No effect can be seen on Sachin because his fans have been too generous on him, his critics have been too abusive and mean on him. So, he has learned not to respond to the public.

YES IT IS A JOKE TO SCORE 99 CENUTURES. AND SCORING THE HIGHEST NO OF RUNS IS ALSO A JOKE. HOW CAN A UNSTABLE MIND UNDERSTAND THIS JOKE. LET ME TELL YOU PAKISTAN PLAYING CRICKET OUTSIDE THEIR COUNTRY, BECAUSE SOME CLOWNS ARE NOT ALLOWING THEM TO PLAY. ISN'T THIS A BIGGEST JOKE. NO CRICKET IN A COUNTRY WHICH IS TEST PLAYING COUNTRY. Hope he retires gracefully at least from ODIs. He clearly does not have the skills required to play ODIs anymore. His reflexes are slow, he doesn’t read the length well. He got hit on the head yesterday trying to manufacture a shot. And this is not the first time he has had his helmet pinged. Sometimes his struggles against good bowling are so pathetic that it feels comical. Yesterday's innings was an example. He might score a fifty or get that 100th 100 in the very next match, but that doesn’t mean all is well with his batting.

Just because not making century you cant say so. Still he is among top 10 in world ranking, the day he will be at 13 then I will also accept your argument

top 10 in world ranking? he played like he was not even good enough for club cricket yesterday and also the whole of this series. and people like you will want him to continue till 2022, but selective batting in subcontinental pitches has kept him going. right now he is a comical figure who doesnt deserve a place in the side.

When Sachin will be dropped out as like Aussies did for Pointing
by km vb on Feb 20, 2012 11:37 AM  | Hide replies

Aussies showed the way out for Pointing. Will BCCI and Selectors can dare to show the way out for Sachin ? India need to look for new and younger team leaving out seniors like Sehwag and Sachin.

APPRECIATE CAPTAIN DHONI'S OPENNESS AND GUTS
by mohan on Feb 20, 2012 11:35 AM  | Hide replies

At last one man who is at the helm of Indian team on grounds said Sachin is not upto the expectations of team India along with Sehwag and Gambir. It is now Sachin to rethink on his contnuing with playing eleven. Fine team India should co operate to get his final hundred to round it off to 100 centuries. His exit makes creation of another good player for team India. He should now on contribute his skills not by playing himself but by mentoring. So surely cricket world will appreciate. Becuase if he has to contribute to the cricket really on field then you need some age too. Think over Mr Tendulkar

Well every one was gunning for Tendulkars head in 2001, I am sure he will answer with his bat. Technically nothing is wrong with him, its just a lean patch. Still he is still among top 10 in world this year, show some respect to his hard work, I remember there was at least one decade when people used to switch off TV the moment Sachin was gone.
