Indian Cricketers are Androids !!
by S Shrikanth on Feb 16, 2012 04:38 PM  | Hide replies

Androids are those species who look like any human being, but do not have emotions. They are programmed to perform only some specific tasks that ordinary human being can not do. Additionally, androids do not have liberty to live in public life. They are meant to live in highly protected boundaries during their whole lifetime.

My friend, why you are getting irritated. I have not said anything about you. ;-)

Its all about cricketers of commercial era where the expectation from their sponsors is to play cricket 365 days a year. If you say it bakwass, then read these lines again:

"Not watching television, not watching news, not reading newspapers. I haven't touched a newspaper in the last one month," or when Dhoni utters, "I have not been reading any newspapers (nor) getting any news from India so I don't know what exactly is going on."

can we apply the same logic of sachin to Sehwag/Dhoni/Ishant ?
by jeevan on Feb 16, 2012 03:06 PM

we wont. Because sachin is older than these guys? Is that the reason?

Ravi House
Re: For Singh
by Ravi House on Feb 16, 2012 02:11 PM
If you will not give any extra consideration for players like sachin then what is the difference between players like him and others. The difference means not just by the big name but by their huge contributions in the past. Tomorrow, if there raises a situation where you have to drop either dhoni or raina then whom would you drop? Obviously, it should be raina, since dhoni had contributed more in the past. In the case of Harbajhan, ashwin has been replaced because he is doing better that bhajji. Show me somebody who is better than sachin and then replace him. Anyways, he is not playing in all the odis in the last 3 - 4 years. He himself is pulling out. Then why are you people going ga ga about him playing.

@ ravi.... nice one!!! really good... just i have onedoubt....please be informed that m neither die hard sachin FAN nor Sachin basher....
you only said he is not in prime form...also its unclear whether he will play 2015 WC ...so wt if sachin retires or forced to retire at mid of 2014 ??? are we suppose to start searching replacemnt that time?? as next WC will be in Aussie only ...so i personally think its better to play newcomer rather that sachin.... nothng against sachin ....great man he is.commitment wise/ experience wise....but we need to have good player/ bench strength by keeping WC in mind..

Re: Re: Re: For Singh

Absolutely boss, for your message the following is the reply though it is big. Please read it fully.

It is Dhoni versus Sehwag and Gambhir,

Half man and half dress is what they say for enhancing your outlook. Like that, half performance and half great talking is the one you need to enhance your charisma. Dhoni is definitely too good than the rest when it comes to talking.

After the test match series dhoni said that he would hand over the captaincy if there is an alternative. Having said that he does want any alternative to exist. Keeping only that in mind, he suddenly brought this rotation policy, strictly for the openers, for the sake of denying regular chances to sehwag and gambhir in the odis who are the potential alternatives for the test captaincy. Two things he can achieve through this. One if somebody is in form his rhythm will be affected because of the break which would result in subsequent failures as it may happen in gambhir's case. Two if you fail doubts will be created in your mind about your very inclusion in the team. By playing these tricks dhoni is trying to put extra pressure on sehwag and gambhir to perform which may result in both of them failing and in the process thus eliminating the potential alternatives for the test captaincy.

To be continued...

dear ravi ,

as i told you & reiterate , i am a fan of sachin BUT i do not consider him the greatest. I could be wrong but that is my view.
delayed or early response does not matter as it is not a question of life & death between us.
I treat this just a debate - for or against , nothing personal. I do get personal when people become arrogant , abusive & in general try to spoil the fun part of it. If somebody wins the argument then what has he won - a fortune ? if somebody has lost the arguement what has it lost.

So dost as they say " Dil Pe Mat le Yaar "

Yaah, I said sorry because i just use to say that more. After all, words like "sorry" and "thank you" would only build relationship. Is not it? Nothing wrong in having your own views on sachin or for that matter on any other player. In fact i preferred to answer your messages since there has been some logic and sense behind that. Any logic can be debated, but should not be done just for the sake of it. So, i would like to see our debate continues on sachin since, like it or not, he has been the talking point always.

Ravi House, Like you said you would take a performing dhoni rather than non performing raina if that is the case...similarly we should take someone performing and not sachin...who anyway is out for so many odis...so why do you care he stays away some more? only i suppose for his 100th century?

and you said better to take ashwin than bhajji who has not performed so well in the recent past...then why take sachin who has not performed so well in the recent past?...

Dear Sunil,

You have misunderstood. I said i would take dhoni in place of raina when both were not performing based on dhoni's past performances. Moreover can't we extend our gratitude towards a player without disturbing the team's cause who had done a lot for our country. Follow aussies, how they treat their legends. Ponting has been given chances for almost two years. Sachin does not need that many. He would be quitting the odi format very soon.

you are saying as if giving chances is good. whether india does it or australia if something is correct it is correct for both and if it wrong it is wrong for both...

and perhaps you are unaware but people in other countries also call for their players head...dont for a moment suppose that aussie players are happy that ponting or hussey are being taken continuously or when jayasuriya who should have been dropped earlier many sri lankan people were giving gaalis to sri lankan cricket board for taking him....it is same with any player of any country....
