boss you forgot to add The Greatest batsman on earth - Tendya ? you means he is going to be the permanent fixture / plaster in the team till he is able to hold the bat? no harm . but just thought to inlude him also.

Re: Thrilling Tie

Good luck for him? He is a bad luck to India team. He did not play in the last match and we won. He played in this match and almost lost but because he got out early, we at least got a tie.
Re: Re: Thrilling Tie
by ASHISH KUMAR on Feb 14, 2012 07:50 PM
He disn't play in SA ODI series. India lost. He didn't play in Eng overseasw ODI series. India tharshed by england. He played in last Triangular seies in Aus with century in final. India won. He playede in wcup 2011 with highest scorer & india win. Truth is just opposite
Irfan is good for our tail end. He can hit big shots.Irfan, Jadeja and Ashwin are able batsmen and in case of faliure of middle order they can be handy. Actully He could come in place of Vinay Kumar but as we see the form of Vinay it is not the right decision.
Re: Prefer Irfan inplace of Praveen
by Jiju on Feb 14, 2012 06:38 PM
Frankly, Praveen is a very good bowler. Remember his heroics last series in AUS 2008? He was even the MOM in one of the finals.
I feel it is a battle of fitness & performance between Aaron/Yadav/Praveen/Irfan when Zaheer retires. Nehra/Sreesant/RP Singh seem to be forgotten, but thats all in the game :(
Re: Re: Prefer Irfan inplace of Praveen
by Jiju on Feb 14, 2012 06:41 PM
Regarding Vinay Kumar, i am confused (to be frank). One match he bowls well, another he is hit for 5 or 5.5 RPO..... Maybe some more exposure needed for Aaron & Vinay Kumar??
Re: Re: Re: Prefer Irfan inplace of Praveen
by patriot on Feb 14, 2012 07:53 PM
It would be best to have the following bowlers: 1. Zahir Khan 2. Umesh Yadav 3. Irfan pathan 4. Varun Aaron 5. Sreesanth 6. R.P.Singh
Ashish Nehra is a bit old and is not able to bowl the same way how he used to earlier. Praveen is an arrogant guy and does not bowl well always. He was though of as an allrounder, but does not excel in anything, and also this guy is arrogant as is seen from his on-field behaviour. Vinay Kumar is a waste and gets a bit of luck only if there is a swing. He can never bowl on flat pitches, and as regards his batting is concerned, he cannot even play defence. There is a good swing bowler from TN by name Pandian Dharma and this guy is just 19 years old. He can be given a chance on a rotational basis.
Re: Prefer Irfan inplace of Praveen
by Varun on Feb 14, 2012 06:41 PM
Both are good bowlers. Praveen is very good with swinging the ball both ways. But for indian cricket, irfan coming back into the fold is very important, esp in tests.
This is what is to be noted from the match. If srilanka wins it is different.if they draw ,the situation may not comfort them as they were playing 3rd match in the trination series.
Many want Dhoni,Ashwin Raina( Coz CCK ?) dropped and include Irfan,Yusaf,Parthiv patel, harbhajan and Uthappa.Tha is kind of thinking,so no wonder India is a third world country
Re: Many
by LAKSHMI NARASIMHAN on Feb 14, 2012 06:40 PM
This match has been fixed by Dhoni. Why does he take so much time to score runs. He ensures the match is taken to the last over. He also ran out Gambhir and Pathan to delay game
heard in shivaji park , mumbai "if the plaster had scored 1 run extra , we would have won. but he got out on 15 . no worries. we saved the match . otherwise we would have lost it by 15 runs short."

by solid singh on Feb 14, 2012 06:34 PM
no boss. i just told you what i heard .i am anardent fan of his consistency- never consistently helping indian cause.
I fail to understand what Indian purpose would be seved by playing Tendulkar in ODIs.Obviously he can't make it to next world cup. It's about time he retires.Records are useless, what is foremost is country should win.Even Sachin knows it's in country's interest that youngsters get more chances, someone like Manoj Tiwari deserves to play.I guess Greed has no limit.

I am just worried that he is unwittingly blocking youngsters who could do well to get to play more matched in ODIs.This is bs, seriously man
Re: Re: Re: Tendulkar Should retire fom ODIs
by solid singh on Feb 14, 2012 07:22 PM
speculator , not unwittingly but deliberately. otherwise how do you think he will keep on making useless records.
Re: Re: Tendulkar Should retire fom ODIs
by shiva on Feb 14, 2012 06:33 PM
He is not the player he was, not at all. Emotions aside, just give him opportunities at home to get the elusive hundred. Now, he will be remembered for the wrong reasons - like a child asking for the moon. Rather we lose grooming youngsters than sorry to say - flogging a dying horse! It is getting to a ridiculous mindset, with single obsession - SRT's century! And so many - I told you - in every post.

I have been his fan, but this is pure greed and this huger for personal records must not overshadow team interests.

have u not heard sunny and ravi shastri opinion on this matter? they say the 100th 100 is more important

Shameful. When is personal records more important than team's.This same mentality why this country is in such mess.

gavaskar & shastri are BCCI mouthpiece, remember how they endorsed IPL for money to sabotage kapil's ICL and now gavaskar is crying fowl play when bcci booted him and didn't pay him his dues. haha cheater got cheated, good job bcci. I'll trust a pickpocket before I trust gavaskar & shastri.

Sachin 33 tons and 58 scores more than half tons thus 91 innings caused ODI wins an still you say this ?
Re: Re: Tendulkar Should retire fom ODIs

What you mean.Sachin was and still is a giant. But playing him in ODIs, how are u preparing for next world cup? You think he will be there in 2015?
Re: Re: Tendulkar Should retire fom ODIs
by speculator on Feb 14, 2012 06:33 PM
What you mean he is enjoying. It's not he, it's us, our team.We want our youngsters to be given more chances to ready them for 2015.Sachin is a giant, but even he knows he won't be there in 2015.How playing him helps the national team.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Tendulkar Should retire fom ODIs

So you keep on playing a old hack because you think all our youngsters are incapapble.Guess what old hack will retire one day and youngsters are our future. We have to play them to find out who is good enough.Have you not learnt two wrongs don't make a right?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Tendulkar Should retire fom ODIs
by silver mani on Feb 14, 2012 06:50 PM
Speculator ,Just imagine if this Old hack was not present in Australia and England Series,Due to this old hack we lost the series 8-0 ,with youngstetrs the score would be something like 8-(-8).We should keep this old hack.

Speculator: If you want logic here it is. I am an ardent fan of Indian cricket and I believe the best 11 should play anytime even if that is 6 months before World cup. You can think of a team, and i bet it will change for every 6 months. Go back and look. Raina captained India and come world cup he lost place to yousuf, just because 3 or 4 innings. Imran Thahir and du plessi made debuts to SA. On top of that, you can prepare how much you want for the World Cup, end of the day its just 3 odis that decides the fate. As a fan, I want to win all the ODI series in these 4 years, than not playing the best 11 just for the sake of hopes of winning a WC.

And coming to Sachin, why should he retire. He is a crickter and thats his profession. If he thinks he is fit and good enough why shld he hang up? Just think Why is ponting still playing? Why is laxman and dravid still playing tests? thats because they are cricketers. Youngsters shld perform and push the seniors out of the team. Its not something someone shld donate
Is indian cricket team playing like a world champions... time and again we ask ourselves the same question, time and again, indians give away their wicket cheaply.. let the opposition earn and work hard for each indian wicket... its time that the team management makes strict changes.. and a good news that bowling department has a new coach.... hope to see a champion indian team play from next matches...
Re: IS INDIA PLAYING LIKE WORLD CHAMPIONS
by Varun on Feb 14, 2012 06:31 PM
I see. world champions means there has to be a huge difference between the next team ? So 2 team cannot be close and one cannot be slightly better and be world champions. Really ?
