time for a recreation in indian team!
by solomon raja on Feb 11, 2012 07:40 PM  | Hide replies

i think instead of waiting for sachin to make his 100th 100, we can give chance to many young and able players who are willing to fight their body mind and soul for the country's team.
like ashwin and many other young players who stand up in the right time and deliver their best.

come on guys, we have lots to think about, win about and cheer about....! HAIL INDIAN TEAM!

Many young and able cricketers!!!
Can You please name them?
Barring Kohli no other batsmen are able to score even 30 runs.
Now think whom to rest - Sachin or the entire middle order along with Sehwag?

rohit, if you dont give them the opportunity, how do you think they will make it ? In their sleep ? How many innings did it take for kohli to get going in tests in Aus ? Think before you write. A youngster has potential, but should be given the time and backing to fulfill that promise. By being whimsical and quick to judge, we would end up destroying their careers.

Good point. We should give more chances to Ishant. His bowling will surely improve. :-)

The best part of OZ is that we are losing against their young players on trial for future in OZ cricket team.

Come on jiju. This whole whimsical opinion making. The poor guy got the team overworked and on its downswing. Give him the chance and time to get it back up and then if he fails, fair to criticize. The biggest bane of our country is this whole lyn-ch mob mentality.

Dude, its the 10th month he is the coach. What has he done other than eating burgers? He doesnt have the courage of Greg Chappel nor the motivating skills of Gary Kirsten!

Pl see it in the correct perspective. He got a team on the down swing. We don't know about his skills yet. Give him another year with youngsters around and lets see how he does and then watch for good signs and bad ones. And to his credit he just got to lead them straight into our Achilles heel, away tours. It is very difficult to get the confidence back up when you are trashed like the way we were and that too even before you get to know the players. The gauge shouldn't be how many series we win or loose, but how are we playing it. Having said all this, i certainly think it is time we started having indian coaches, not foreign ones.

Ridiculous! Do u want to see Kulbhushan Kharbanda? Dhoni is the captain, his image will be there. Why do u bother?

A captainb is only as good as his team. Guys dont blame dhoni for everything. Yes he batter below his best and his captainship was a little off but what can he do if the batsman dont perform and bowlers on occations are of base? 50% of all other captains in similar situations would have done the same as dhoni did of being defensive in tests - be serious it is not dhoni's fault that we lost the series - he gave us the worldcup for sure !!!

Half truth. A team is also only as good as the captain. Both apply. Dhoni is jaded and needs a break. Last thing India needs is passion becoming work. Applies to all professions. These are people not robots.
