Onsite Team!
by vinodh kumar on Feb 10, 2012 02:11 PM  | Hide replies

I feel it is better if India has an onsite team at all major cricketing countries, so that the players who are used to the local conditions can play there. Hopefully then they show performance. More players will get chance also!

Resting Tendulkar
by Ramesh Mosur on Feb 10, 2012 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

How the writer is crediting only Tendulkar for the 3 victories down under in 2007-08 series is not clear. In the first victory Aus were restricted to 159 then Tendulkar scored 44, no credit to bowlers who did the first job well. In the second victory (first final) Aus were restricted to 239 again a good job by bowlers but no credit. In the third victory (second final) Aus were not allowed to overhaul 258 again a good bowling performance but no credit. No doubt Tendulkar did contribute in all these matches but it is incorrect to say that he only helped India win. I wish the writer takes a more dispassionate view and appreciate all performances than just of one person.

now think other way round.. if Tendulkar had to get out on Zero than all the others would have followed him.. result India all out on 114.. Second point.. Tendulkar scored half the scored so India won.. third point also the same.... India cannot win all the games without tendulkar..

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ! ! ! !

IN PRESENT TOUR OUR BALLERS HAVE FAILED MISERABLY - ALLOWING NON GETTABLE SCORES TO OZ SIDE & SACHIN IS BEING BLAMED FOR THIS WHITE WASH ! ! ! ! (ALTHOUGH HE IS AMONG TOP THREE SCORERS????)

When we loose, we all blame Sachin likewise, when we win, Sachin's contribution will always be there, therefore the appreciation, but without taking any credit from the other performers nd when Sachin stayed it was always Sachin Vs Opposition

Azar also missed his 100th test.
by Jaihindbandemataram on Feb 10, 2012 12:38 PM  | Hide replies

Azaruddin for his faulty uncricketing behaviour missed his 100th test match. finished 1 short of 100th. He suould have given 1 chance to achieve the dream one.

Why the Board giving so much chances to Tendulkar !!! He is depriving junior players for his personal records. He has no sports man spirit at all.

There's no 'ELIGIBLE SUBSTITUTE' for Sachin even if you search through a telescope. So it is in Team's benefit that he is kept in team until you find suitable young player.
Even Sachin also will resign if any substitute arises - because it is better to be asked WHY? rather than WHEN (you will retire?)

add some logic when you comment. What way do you think he has deprived any youngster. Now in present team all are young guys except Sachin. Now wht hell difference will it make to the team adding one more younger player in place of Sachin. Rather the rest of the team seems vulnerable except Sachin & Virat.

might be rested means ?
by Ganesh on Feb 10, 2012 12:29 PM  | Hide replies

might be rested means ?

might play also ? does it mean that ?

unless he plays another 100 matches how will he reach his 100th 100 ? why rest and deny his 100 th 100... that is more important for India because his 100th 100 means India's greatest triumph.

Real problem
by m prasad on Feb 10, 2012 12:14 PM

Real problem is IPL.
2 months of IPL is too long.
Again one more round of Champion trophy in Sep/Oct period is very bad.
Goose laying golden eggs storty perfectly matches with Indian cricket.

IPL's main objective is betting and mafia is taking key role in controlling BCCI and govt.

Rotation will work. Any way these three are not doing any thing. Do not drop the youngsters. You must give chances to them. After all they are going to stay and even if they do not do they get experience. Whereas these seniors are mere waste.
