Gavaskarji, if i am not mistaken we are sending Indian cricket team and not Indian veterans team to WC in 2015. So, youngsters SHOULD play all matches. Nothing wrong if ur favorite player sits out for a few matches.

my friend in same situation in wc final..he hit fours and sixes. i think we won that match. its just bad luck my friend. going after bowling under pressure and getting out like sehwag,raina is always better than getting bogged down and getting out like sachin,dravid

Dude, WC was played on a flat track. India was in no danger when he came, coz Kohli & Gambhir had steadied the innings. Playing on flat track is different from such tracks in Aus.
When he came, there was no need to play helicopter shots or extravagant unorthodox shots (if u want to call them shots). Req RPO was 4.27 to be precise. It was a very poor shot selection and hence got out. When the situation demands, u need to be a Raina (going after bowling) or sometimes Dravid (defense) if the other end is not stable.

What bothers you if sachin is not retiring? What India need is a contribution from all players and sachin is not doing badly. In fact youngsters with the exception of kohli are doing bad than sachin. Even kohli did not fair too better than sachin.
If you want to play a team for 2015 wc at the cost of losing matches till then that would not be good for morale of the team which is very important.
thats why we are treated to comment a day. or rather free comment a day. it is because of such regionalism that india is suffering. We are picking rohit sharma who is from mumbai in place of sachin then what is the problem mumbai vs mumbai. will sachin play next world cup ? no..rohit sharma will..raina might..kohli will..shouldnt more chances be given to them. and who will field for sachin,sehwag and gambhir.
Do not kill the cricket, there are crores of people watching and saying he should retire. Mere 48 runs after playing 2 decades is nothing Mr.Gavaskar. Look at Ashwin a new comers contributions. Like there are many young players can contribute equally. So give chance to youngsters. HE IS MUMBAI AND YOU ARE ALSO MUMBAI, PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF THESE THINGS.

If Gavaskar vehemently wants Tendulkar to score his 100th Century then instead of risking this series it would be better to call a one match series with Ireland, Canada or Kenya. Since considering the present form of Tendulkar I feel it may be difficult for him to score a century against Bangla Desh or Zimbabwe Bowlers.

true..Sachin should play against minnows. Infact seniors should only play in games which are not of importance. Critical matches where every run is to be saved. Seniors should not be played
