Fighting on a furious field, Once a javelin pierced his shield; Soldiers, with a loud lament, Bore him bleeding to his tent. Groaning from his tortured side, “ Pain is hard to bear,” he cried; “ But with patience, day by day, Even this shall pass away.”
your fans wish to know why you did not organise a press conference as dravid & laxman did to announce your retirement. Why did BCCI had to announce it . You could have done it immly after calcutta test. Or it nver occurred to you, before team selection, that India needs to prepare for WC2015.

Not very long ago he was at the top of his game & was enjoying his cricket. He wanted to play against Pak & Eng in ODIs. according to Sachin admirers he is still fully fit & should have continued with ODis.

‘Mid the revels of his court, At the zenith of his sport, When the palms of all his guests Burned with clapping at his jests, He, amid his figs and wine, Cried, “O loving friends of mine; Pleasures come, but not to stay, ‘Even this shall pass away.”
