indications are very clear he will be a successful politician. Did he realise fans support and love only after retiring,playing for 23 years?

Time to celebrate
by great maratha on Dec 26, 2012 01:42 PM  | Hide replies

I hope everybody is happy now and India become the best team in the world because Sachin was the stumbling block to Indias success.But look at the performance of our great young bowlers.All of them under 25 years of age could get only 1 English wicket on the final day in NagpurOur young batsmen score 133 aginst a not so great Pakistani attack..Many a times his heroic efforts were wasted because the rest could not perform.Cricket is a game of 11 players and he was made the scapegoat for all of Indias failures.Like the Chennai test in Pak in 1999 when he scored a 100 and the rest could not score the remaining 15 runs.Many a times he was the lone fighter.His valiant knock at Perth in 1992,his single handed fight against Australia in 1999 where we were whitewashed 3-0,his brilliance which took us to the final of 2003 world cup,all went in vain because he did not get able support from the others.
Was it his age or his success that was hurting most Indians.Out of 120 crore Indians we find only 1 individual gold medalist at the Olympics in 65 years.We hardly get a champion and when we get one we wait for his downfall.Cheers India it is time to celebrate.

you are talking of past which is history.What did he contribute to avoid two whitewash abroad and also losing to England in our home ground? We beat NZ in our home but he was a flop. Let us admit,he WAS great but, now a tourist or passenger.

KrishnaMoorthy;
Excellent logic. Let us admit that Dhoni, Sehwag, Gambhir, Pujara, Kohli, Yuvi, Ashwin, Ojha etc are also a flop, Tourists and Passengers who contributed nothing to avoid the defeat at home. ROTFL...
Lets kickout the whole team. Shall we??? ;-)

Future
by great maratha on Dec 26, 2012 01:35 PM  | Hide replies

In the past our players would go and play county cricket.So most of our players were accustomed to English conditions.Now overseas players come and play IPL.They have adjusted to our conditions and our performance is going from bad to worse.There is not a single player amongst the youngsters who has the technique for test cricket apart from Kohli and Pujara to some extent.We find lollipop bowlers like Awana and Dinda.The future of Indian cricket is not bright.
