wait when your team will start losing every match then you will realise his value - I bet on this - at that time you will be first one to say - tendulkar should not have been retired - you people are baseless vessels - keep turning on all directions

rihgtly said SIRji... sometime batting failure and sometime bowlers... last match against england 178 also failed to win the match because of bowlers.. so stop blaming SACHIN...
Rediff should not only screen for abusive messages.. but also ridiculous ones.. I can say with surety in no other country a sportsperson of such caliber has been commented upon so shabbily as Sachin.. The world recognizes him as a hero and Indians??? what a shame

I agree boss. Most of the crtics of sachin failed miserably in their career and when someone is consistent and growing phenominally they could not consume the success of little genius. Fortunately criticisms of few disgruntled guys not affected his game and he bounced back with more power. Now - the time has come for this scores of critics to learn from Sachin - something beyond just cricket and try to at least bring someone up in their families by cherishing the great values of humility, consistency, dedication, will power and commitment that brought such a great legend.

I strongly agree.. He is the one I am seeing since my childhood days and most of the people in the world follow him madly.. many senior players frm other countries hv admitted that modern cricket has lost its era..
Leave all his records and statistics - retrospectively we had seen a 15 year boy wonder and little legend on the make - just toiled to live up to the expectation of a billion people - that youth of India should learn how one should be consistent in our making to be always on the high expectations of people around us. The fear psychosis among the foreign bowlers drifted from Lloyd, Richards, botham etc. to Sachin - this means one's performance is so vital not only for his team but to create striking blow to the opponents/competitors. Handful of criticisms that came out of jealousy and hatred and own life failures - but all criticisms received fitting response from willows time and again that one should learn how to respond to critics with persistent performance. When money was flowing from sponsors purely on his merit he refused to promote smoking and alcohol - in the process forfeited several crores. This means even money earning is not important than promoting values that youth should learn from him. Finally - when he said I am Indian first and Mumbaite later - he defied the mighty Shiva sena also - without fear. This means youth should stick to right decisions amidst protest and criticism and be courageous.

Agreed. He has done many things good. Nobody is denying that. But during last matches we all saw that he and BCCI is only supporting to break 100 tons barriar. That is not in favor of cricket. People here are talking about that ONLY.

boss the record he made is not only for himself but for all Indians. Every Indian proudly says that their sachiin has max no of centuries and innumerable records. So supporting him for completing a milestone in record is indeep a responsibility.

well said ...No matter what people say , Sachin is the best Cricketer ever to have played Cricket. And dont forget he single handedly carried India on his shoulders without any support from anyone ..Only late in his carrer did Sourav and co joined him...Still he was the lone Pillar of Indian Cricket ..After Sachin I doubt if India could be as Consistent as it was with Sachin in the Team
Sachin sold the Ferrari given to him by Michael Schumacher - Ferrari world champion who donates 50 crores to charity. Normally 99.99 % players broke other players and then retired but this player is only breaking his own records so he is in fact breaking his own records. This is a very good skill which a million players hate to do. So he is a unique player.
