Although he selection is for Pak series only but performance here will have bearing for the more important ODIs against the English.India have lost badly the TEST series and just about manged to square the T20 series. Sufficient have been written about the TEST series gone by but coming to shorter version things are only marginally better. You take out Yuvraj Singh and the India T20 side or for that matter even One Dayers side do look good enough to beat any world side. Batting does look Ok by and large but it is the bowling with inexperienced pace attack clearly a “work in progress” but the much acclaimed spin attack no where near to delivering in any of the three formats. Good that Amit Mishra , the leg spinner is back . But that is not enough. The team management must come up with concrete action plans to end the “flop show” of Ashwin &co. which includes names like Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla.May be the short Pak series would throw up answers on the ‘spin’ front where the chances appear 50-50 but otherwise India might lose even the One Dayers series against England. Undoubtedly the current problem is mainly because of Ashwin not delivering. Somehow his negative leg stump line bowling…slow turners..lack of body thrust&follow-through ..length …or whatever…..everything appear to be not OK with his bowling. Rohit Sharma is not fit for Indian National side . He should be retained for Mumbai as the Mumbaikar,s say he has loads of talent which he will show only after he is allowed to play for at least 100 games for India.

Bhajji is bowling well now, today he took parthiv patel and venugoapls wkts.. dont know but yes CSK ashwin will play til he fails and fails,, petty politics only

Shami Ahmed is a medium pacer from Bengal. We have already a Dinda in the team, one more from Calcutta. All vested interests. Despite superb performance in Srilanka, Irfan Pathan has been removed. BCCI dictates team to be selected and hence dont have any hope in selectors
Out of the five recent greats of Indian cricket (Sachin, Kumble, Ganguly, Dravid and Laxman) only two retired fron cricket field enjoying ovation of cricket loving crowd. What a pity!
