When players like rahane get used to provide water n towels to oldies like sachin without performing remains in team , the current result is bound to happen. Sehwag n Gambhir has crosssed their peak & needs to be rested. Also enough of Ashwin now , he is better cricketer in T20 format rather than test cricket.

Just ban Srinivasan and any paid lackey of Chennai Super Kings [people like Srikkanth] from anything to do with International Test Cricket.
Make Kapil Dev the BBCI Chief and Amarnath the Chairman of Selectors.
To reach No.1 position could be a little difficult and requires full concentration and dedication. But to remain there for quite some time is not easy. It requires 24 x 7 practice, will to always win and full 100% concentration on the game while playing or while fielding or bowling. We lack many things.
Poms were more determined and had prepared better for the series against India. Indian players seemed to be going through the motions and did not put up a good fight, something they did even during the previous England and Australian tours. Test cricket is a different ball game. It requires different set of skills to BCCI must select different players in each format.

Talk is cheap. Raina and co made those silly comments but it's England, who are having the last laugh.
Fact is that they are not brave --- Nor Bravado word is fitted well into them. It is actually a case of Sheer Complacancy ---- as if no body can throw them out of the Team. They are pretty sure that their position is fixed and not dependent on their performance.
Indians found it difficult to play Monty. The difference was seen in the first match when India won. I guess Nasser's comment could be rephrased as 'Spinner' instead of 'Spinners'. It can also happen when one bowler is bowling well, the other can reap benefits by getting more wickets too. England (especially batsmen) came better prepared. Credit to Any Flower too.
English men some how do not know to use right words often .It is not Bravado it is gross stupidity . For all the adulations these players get they do not deserve even one percent . IPL has made them rich beyond any dreams of them - so it led to arrogance and lack of ehtics .I am only sorry England lost one match - if not it would have been perfect.
goupism and politics among senior players is the main reson of slump in indian cricket. the other reason is huge cash flow via sponsorships and ipl. players dont punt an effort since they are scared of injuries. if injured they will miss ipl and shooting of add films.
