Offer Indian citizenship to Panesar, Herath and Saeed Ajmal Indian citizenship. Induct them into the test team for a limited contract of 25 tests and then see. Remove zaheer, harbhajan, sehwag, sachin and gambhir. Consider offering indian citizenship to Samraweera, Alistair Cook, and some other promising overseas batsmen

Current players do not want to play Test Cricket. They lack commitment and do not apply themself for Test scenario. They are good only for T20 & One day. The era of Dravid,Kumble,Laxman's are over. Dhoni is a failure as Test caption. He should lead only in T20 & 50 over matches. Time to bring change.
c'mon Mr. Gavaskar, give Dhoni a break. Players go out of form for years end but are still retained in the side. Dhoni has been one of the best Captains that India has produced. He has won the T20 World Cup and also the 50 Over World cup which no Captain of India has achieved. It was under his captaincy that India reached No.1 ranking where both test and one days are concerned. Name one Indian Captain who has achieved this feat. Dhoni deserves another innings and people should not be so harsh on him.

Dhoni is the best caption in T20 & 50 over matches. But not for Test cricket. He reached No:1 in Test ranking because of Dravid,Laxman,Kumble & inform Shewag & Harbajan.

Not disputing what you have said which is completely right but at the end of the day it was under his leadership. To my knowledge after Sourav (Dada) I think Dhoni is the best Captain that India has ever had.

Dhoni is a lousy leader. He has no leader ship qualities. Always gives some vague excuse or the other. Instead of concentrating on cricket he is worried about pitches. His golden eyed boy is Ashwin who is another useless Test player and very arrogant. Was lucky to get wickets against teams that were down. He is not sure whether he is in the side for bowling or batting. But not for his fielding which even a toddler will be better. Too much money in these guys pockets. But Dhoni should be out.

If he didnt have leadership qualities then how did BCCI appoint him as Captain. Secondly, it was because of his leadership that we won the World Cup. C'mon give the man his dues.
NO NEED TO REPLACE DHONI YET.HE IS VERY POSITIVR CAPTAIN. NEED IS TO SELECT A NEW YOUNG SIDE.IF WE PUT KOHLI AS CAPTAIN HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FAIR WELL NOW.
Kohli could be the best out of the names indicated for Captaincy-replacement to Dhoni. But, the old players must be kept out of the Team, especially, Sachin, Sehwag, Zaheer, Harbhajan, even Gambhi & Dhoni. If Dhoni & Gambhir are given places in Test-Team, they must be warned that they will be thrown out, if they can not give good performance for the next 5 - 6 Tests.

typical indian muslim..but you will never be happy if India wins against pakistan or if pakistan loses against any other team for that matter.
Team India needs a new captain, whether it is Kohli or Gambhir or Raina is for the selectors to think. But Dhoni has run out of all his wit and he has become much more predictable and stiff in his approach. We need a captain who is able to surprise the opponent teans with his moves, field placings etc, and is not scared to give away runs to fetch wickets. Kohli can be a good choice.. as he has been there in the team off late, and he is agressive, intelligent and thinking cricketer.
You make any one captain, the result is going to be same. I guess our players lack commitment. No sign of consistency is found in our team. The team performance is unpredictable to such an extent that it could beat the best team on one day and same day may lose to the worst / club cricket team. that is the level of consistency we have been seeing. So, make any one captain. the result is going to be same. First of all, we need to instil a sense of pride, belongingness, love for country, etc., etc., in them and then see how the team performs.
