Dhoni is a very much an un-indian leader.. He is selfless, cool , calm.. delivers under pressure.. never loses control of himself... takes praise, criticisms, sucess ,failure everything in his stride.. still we fault him..he promoted himself and has delivered a matchwinning/svaing performance.. and he still people hate him.... Salute dhoni!!!... look at the way he calmly walled back to pavilion at 99.. he wudve been the same if it had been a 100... a certain tendulkar wudve cried if he was run out at 99,even if india had won

what ever you have written is rubbish & it clearly shows you have not followed cricket closely.
It is because he knows that he will not find a place in team if he fails in this test.
Our system is a foolish one who treat a one in 10 tests & hail this for another 20 tests.

C'mon guys we should give it to them when its due...they have played and carved togather a great Innings ..atleast now we are sure of not staring into another defeat...We should also appreciate this guy's sense of responsibility ....i think this inning will save his place and captaincy both .i am not seein' any other player capable enough to take responsibility of leading Team....so no point criticising him...

any name that you will suggest has himself failed horribly in the last 2 years both away and at home and if dhoni does not deserve to be in the team either as a captain or player then by the same token others also dont deserve to be in the team or as a captain...and if they are not failures then of course you are suggesting some new player who has not played any tests yet...

100 % correct. Actually he wants to high light his knock by putting pressure on the Tail end by ran out himself needlessly as usual.
It is his practice to run out his partner or ran himself out whenever the team is under pressure & thus enact a drama that he is selfless.

Do you don't know Cricket? If Dhoni has really promoted himself means he should have batted at No 3.
It is his practice to bat at one down if the team is in winning position & there is big score & pitch is with plenty of runs.
If not he will at no 6/7 just before bowlers.

Pat yourself your back !
by Ricky topping on Dec 15, 2012 07:06 PM

"The best preparation for TOMORROW is to do TODAY's work well" - We motivate the management students thus quoting.

India today did quite reasonably well except for the sudden slide towards the end which could have been avoided.

It is important that the whole team should make it a point to mark this day on a white stone by posting a decent lead TOMORROW ( and bowlers need to put England under pressure by taking quick wickets)to pat ourselves back once again in preparation for the LAST DAY's fortune.

If done, India would certainly have redeemed some of the lost prestige.

Will they do it is the TRILLION dollar question now ?

Bad pitch
by Jomesh George on Dec 15, 2012 07:05 PM

The curator should be blamed for preparing such an unsportive pitch. It is difficult to score runs same time difficult to get wickets because ball doesn't carry much.Wickets other than bowled or stumped were because of brilliant fielding efforts only.Getting catchouts are difficult if batsman is not playing aerial shots.I wonder if natural stroke players like peterson Kohli and Dhoni had to bat in snail's pace what would have been the case of an original snail(in cricket terms) like Chris Tavare if he batted here.
