Selectors can feel proud of their selection. We will probably avoid the follow-on!

INevitable
by Syz on Dec 14, 2012 07:05 PM  | Hide replies

It was inevitable. Keep up with Tendulkar, Dhoni, Shewag, and India will soon become a Super Division team. I am fade up with the selectors. No one has guts to tell them to go. It is only possible in India where a person is more than important than the country.

I think it is the Indian spectators who are to blame. Inspite of the poor showing at England and Australia we crowded at all IPL games. So the Indian players dont care as long as IPL remains popular. India is just like the English football team. It will boast of a premier league where foreign players will shine but the national team will just not perform. Once there is so much money there will be no motivation to practice.

And what are the young players in the team doing? Nothing. So stop the blame game. Enjoy the cricket - with its ups and downs.

change the number on the shirt
by RAVINDRA JOSHI on Dec 14, 2012 07:04 PM  | Hide replies

Our great Master Blaster may not think for retirement from cricket but he should seriously think for change of number on the shirt that he put on during play. number ZERO is most suitable as there is nothing less than zero.

I agree. Sachin is not a master blaster. He doesn't even has a triple century in test cricket where even player like Jayasurya has one.

Dear Syz,
SRT and jayasuriya played almost same no. of ODI and jayasuriya stands nowhere in comparision to SRT.

As far as test is concerned again jayasuriya stands NOWHERE in comparision to SRT :)

Instead of following Cricket, I think the intelligent Indian should take solace in Badminton, where atleast some Indians are performing at par with the world's best...
