Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin is a living legend. One wonders how he fails to understand that ???? He should have called it a day at least two years ago. It was surprising to hear his comment that he will miss Rahul in the dressing room when the gentleman of Indian cricket named Rahul Dravid called it a day even maintaining a level performance very much. Let good sense prevail and Mr 10dulkar realises fast.

Painful to watch him get out in this fashion!!
by Yashwant Jagtap on Dec 15, 2012 06:15 AM  | Hide replies

He should not set a target date (in near future max 6 months or so) and select his matches and quit tests and later one day (1 yr or so) that too selecting tournaments based on his mental fitness, he is being bothered by his own achievements that is the reason he gets fussy with his footwork so many times these days....his innerself says HIT but his consious self says DONT and the end result is messed up foot work !!

Indian cricket

Historically the selectors have refrained from taking difficult decisions. Importance is given on ability to perform rather than the actual performance. Too much of T20 has had an impact on test cricket. Take strong decisions - Sachin should retire or be dropped. Dhoni should also be dropped.

Drop Tendulkar...
by manoj on Dec 15, 2012 06:07 AM

What is the ambiguity. Drop him and give somebody, we cannot trust him more who is not doing anything for the. He was an asset but a great liability now. Because of him team is improving more pressure. He has earned name and more wealth beyond his expectations. At least for shake of all he must leave this game. Its just shame that falling to same bowler.

Team India's performance at Nagpur Test.

The so called seniors-Sehwag, Sachin, Dhoni have become liabilities to the team. They should retire and yield place to young cricketers in the country like in Astralia, England or anywhere and avoid shameful comments.

Wasim Farooqui
succession plan
by Wasim Farooqui on Dec 15, 2012 05:52 AM

Finally India is sufferring as they didn't have a succession plan for Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguli and Laxman. Tehy played almost a decade together adn no one else got a chance. Now they all need to go together and there is not a single stable batsman to take these four places. Only two batsmen got the chance in last decade, sehwag and yuvraj. sehwag as an opener and yuvraj in middle. Yuvraj couldn't prove a single time that he is a test player. Playing a oneday (orT20) and bowl max 10 overs with few wickets and hitting the ball is not test cricket. So now they have to pay the price of no succession plan for couple of years atleast. See who do we have. Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Raina, Gambhir, Pujara. Howmany of them have proved at test level. No batsmen has proved to bat for whole day, let alone playing a test match in pressure to save. There was Kaif, who could have been established test player by now but they only used him in oneday and then kicked him out for not performing. How can anyone thin that He was a oneday player. So...start from scratch and fill 4 empty places in batting line up.

None of the indian batsman have performed up to expectations, be it shewag, gambir, virat, dhoni, yuvraj, wonder why ppl are blaming sachin alone..

we should blame selectors because they are selecting a player who has a lots of experience and doing nothing for the team. Now sachin is unable to play strokes. If it were in other country, he might have been thrown long back.

the great thing about sachin's supporters is that they start pointing fingers against others when asked about sachin and raise their collars when he plays once in a blue moon. But can't answer the question why shouldn't he be sacked ?

Nothing More
by XBox on Dec 15, 2012 05:01 AM

Nothing more left for him as well as team to achieve further.
Let him be a batting coach and help groom young players...

Why indians never willing to retire from any field...whether politics or profession or sports...They want to stick into it till their last blood..unless u push them out they won't go out...

Govt jobs actually got limit in age like 57 or 60, otherwise all of them never leave the office...will work till death...

take politicians...MMS or Karunanidhi or Pranab...they did enough, why cant take rest. Why cant leave the pressure life and go to Ooty kind of place and enjoy the rest...
