If Dhoni should be caption of TEST Cricket team
by Balwinder bhanwra on Dec 12, 2012 10:40 PM

Now time has come that he must quit fro test team , both as player and skipper.
I endorse the opinion of Vengsarkar that Indian test team needs Sachin as vaccun ledt by Dravid and Laxman has not be filled yet.

Did these so called seniors ever perform good in their cricket careers??? Never Never Never. I remember India losing always right from the days i started understanding the game, around 1985. Kapil coming without helmet and getting out soon, Shastri, prabhakar helplessness on getting hit sixes, amarnath and others totally useless and nobody kept any hope or watched them. Remember Kambli tears; whole nation cried and were used to crying those days... Its only during last decade that India started winning many many games.... Be thankful to Sachin, Dhoni and young talented pool of cricketers.....

Keep it up Captain... Dhoni we are with you. Avoid these pop-corn eating critics who talks non-sense without any solution.

That question you pose goes for Mohinder, he vented his frustration without any solution, pathetic sides of old ex-cricketers!
What reminds Amarnath got sacked from selection committee and is venting his frustration on the wrong side... Jimmy is rather arrogant!

amarnath's arrogance will never counts here as he is history. but you cant ignore dhoni as he is present and very much responsible for the present situation

Ex cricketers can't play for Dhoni & his team
by pradeep agarwal on Dec 12, 2012 10:28 PM

Is he willing to take advise of ex cricketers? the past record is not favorable. Why is he then cribbing for the opinion expressed by them?

Drop Sachin, Dhoni and Sehwag....
by Sadhashiv on Dec 12, 2012 10:18 PM

the board should decide to show some spine and drop Sachin, dhoni and sehwag after the conclusion of the nagpur test, irrespective of the result or the players individual scores....

Sehwag has proved time and again that he is highly irresponsible when it comes to batting and throws his wicket away, when caution is the need of the hour....

Sachin is well past his prime and it is absolutely meaningless to continue with him, if India is serious enough to building a team for the future....The presence of a 40 yr old man in the dressing room doesn't augur well for the future of Indian cricket....

Lastly Dhoni has never been of test quality. It would be quite prudent to drop him and allow him to captain the team in T20's and ODI's.. A different WK and a captain needs to be chosen for test cricket....

we don't want a calm reply. What we expects is either Victory or Honorable Draw.
Losing in our own den with huge margins is not acceptable.
With his calm reply Dhooni proves to the world that he is No 1 Shamelees fellow in the world.
He is asking about next Captain but England finds Cook after Strauss like wise India can find any body fro 100 crores.

Dhoni just knows how to talk. Thats it. He doesnt even know what cpataincy, wicket keeping or batting in test matches is all about. just keep on doing advertisements with gym girls and earning money.

It starts tomorrow. The odds are in favor of England and already seeds of discord have been sown in the team. It will never be united any more. Faith in Dhoni has ebbed and we will wait and see. Best of luck to the team!

Lets face the fact..Indian team is going thru transition phase. Ganguly, Dravid, Kumble & Laxman are all legends in their own right and very difficult shoes to fill. We will have to be a bit more patient with our current crop of youngsters. They need to be persisted with and given a fair chance to prove themselves. Afterall performing at the highest level in Indian cricket team comes with its own set of expectations and pressure from millions of fans. As for Dhoni, it is a testing time for him as a captain and prove how he can motivate and inspire his young team to perform upto their abilities..All the best India!!
