Mr. Dhoni, Please contact the most respectable Captain Sourav Ganguly and take advice from him about your doing the needful in this situation.

Ya! he is fit to be a fixer. A cheat is a cheat is a cheat. He can be fit or fat, but what he does is "fix". He should be hounded out of the sport.

Do we need to import coach?
by asthith on Dec 10, 2012 08:40 AM  | Hide replies

It started with Chappell who spoiled the show first with ganguly, then with Irfan(who was made to open innings and losing his bowling rhythm) then other seniors. Kristen build a great team which won the world cup then showed loyalty to his country by leaving Indian coaching and coaching south Africa. We still respect for his ability to build team to lift the world cup after 28 years. Next Mr Fletcher credited with building English team seems to be still loyal to his country.

Gavaskar once said that a player should say goodbye when people say 'WHY' and when they say 'WHY NOT'. Someone should tell this to Sachin.

Gavaskar was absolutely right. Sachin should retire now when he is in form. We let him to play for several tests and then in one test match out of 12-15 matches, he hit century then we say that he has given proper reply to critics. It is not good enough. India, lost 2 test matches, though such a world record batsman is in our team. So, I sincerely think he should go or should be removed.

this team is not a test team.
by Manoj poojary on Dec 09, 2012 11:30 PM

then how can we expect a win.thats the reason we been loosing test matches every often.as they rightly say test match is the real test of the player.frankly speaking yuvraj, dhoni, kholi, gambir are all not fit for test matches.they are born one day players.they dont have the technique n the temperament for the longer version of the game.

Yes, Fletcher was the coach of England team upto 2007.

In 2007, Indian team, without a coach, toured England and won the test series 1-0.

See, even India without a coach was able to beat England in England in 2007 when Fletcher was the coach of English Team!!!!

Is Duncan Fletcher out there playing the middle? Is he scoring the runs and getting out? Is he doing the bowling? Please do not over emphasize the role of the coach. He is not out there doing the batting, bowling and fielding. The players are.The players in the team right now are either way past their prime(Tendulkar,Zaheer Khan and Sehwag) or do not have the mental toughness, grit and fortitude like players like Rahul Dravid, Laxman, Kumble and Ganguly.People like Kohli etc were forged in the crucible of one day and T-20 games and hold their intensity only for those periods of a game. Perhaps Dhoni realized and understood his team's strengths and weaknesses best when he said a test should wrap in 3 days. His team had the gunpowder only to last 3 days. The only hope one has during this rebuilding period is we nurture talents like Pujara who seem to have a stomach to fight in tough conditions against decent fast and spin bowling. Again, teams that claim to perform only on specific tailor made pitches deserve to lose on such pitches.People like Steve Waugh or even Ganguly in his prime did not care for the nature of the pitch or the toss. Unfortunately, Dhoni is a not a sheep of that class or leadership.

Why blame spinners alone? What did the pacers do???
by K Chandru on Dec 09, 2012 09:15 PM

Mr. Kirti Azad! It's not just the spinners who were struggling to take wickets. What did the pacers do to earn your goodwill? While Anderson and Finn took the most of the wickets to fall in this test, why Ishant and Zaheer could not even make the batsmen uncomfortable even once. How come you people conveniently ignore the continuing poor form of most of the batsmen. If this famed line up can not score 500 runs here in a flat pitch here, where else they'll score? Try to be impartial when u fix the blame on someone and do not try to safeguard a few non performers with vested interests. Rise above narrow mindedness at least when u comment.
