Why blame spinners alone? What did the pacers do???
by K Chandru on Dec 09, 2012 09:15 PM

Mr. Kirti Azad! It's not just the spinners who were struggling to take wickets. What did the pacers do to earn your goodwill? While Anderson and Finn took the most of the wickets to fall in this test, why Ishant and Zaheer could not even make the batsmen uncomfortable even once. How come you people conveniently ignore the continuing poor form of most of the batsmen. If this famed line up can not score 500 runs here in a flat pitch here, where else they'll score? Try to be impartial when u fix the blame on someone and do not try to safeguard a few non performers with vested interests. Rise above narrow mindedness at least when u comment.

Varun Aaron
by Sameer Shaikh on Dec 09, 2012 05:45 PM  | Hide replies

India bowling was always weak and low graded. However after seeing Varun Aaron and YAdav in last year one day series vs england in india they looked so attacking. Varun was so impressive and at times clocked 153.5 km/hour. He regularly got cook out in one days and most of his wickets were clean bowled. Then before aust tour he got injured and where is he? long time saw a geneuine fast bowler for india.. On Youtube there was video of worlds fasted bowler atul sharma from india where is he now? BCCI is such bunch of loosers who are not doing job properly. Hope sandeep patil wont call sir agarkar since we now have sir jadeja

Ian Chappell said that the problem with Indian cricket team is they want their heroes like Tendulkar, Ganguly and Dravid specially tendulkar to score hundred and even if indian looses they became happy because tendulkar scored a century. This hallow thinking resembles selfishism and individualism, lack of team spirit, lack of group effort and an individual matters over national team and india as nation. Due to this nature india will always suffer in cricket no matter how much money BCCI makes. There was a time during Ganguly indian team started winning abroad but Dhoni overeseas record is worst of any captain where there were two 4-0 whitewash and now on verge of loosing home series to england after 36 years

What is the Coach's role
by Saju Mathew on Dec 09, 2012 05:02 PM

I was surprised to see that this was the first time no mention has been made about Duncan Fletcher. Whenever India has done badly, the coach has been asked for an explanation. After the tenure of the previous coaches where India had not done so badly, it is clear that the coach has also to be held responsible. I may be wrong please correct me; but wasn’t it the same set of players who were present in the team when we did well? I guess the management (BCCI) need to give back to cricket more than what is extracted out of the game. The failures (white wash) at Australia and England were strong warning signals on the deterioration of the quality of cricket of the Indian team. Instead of blaming the players, we need to question the management as what they did to improve the quality of the game (facilities, training, promoting more youngsters, playing on challenging tracks etc.) when early warning signals (of more than the past 2 years) indicated the same. We need to give back to the game and not only keep extracting from it.

It wont make any difference, Sachin & Dhoni are crooks. And Kohli (I guess u are referring to him) will be another Digvijay Singh with his uncontrolled tongue.

Gavaskar once said that a player should say goodbye when people say 'WHY' and when they say 'WHY NOT'. Someone should tell this to Sachin.

BRING MOHINDERJI AS CHAIRMAN OF SELECTION COMMITTEE.
by subrata banerjee on Dec 09, 2012 04:35 PM  | Hide replies

What a peculiar country India is. The man of the series of 1983 world cup found no favor from BCCI instead they (BCCI) choose a guy who has no voice to establish right choice. This Srinivasan, the president of BCCI should now go. He must feel what damage he has done for Indian cricket. Why Srinivasan is so much interested for Dhoni, a most flop cricketier and captain and who has thrown out every prestige of our country, has backed him continuously? This has turned a great curiosity in Indian public. What are those main reason behind this kind of favouritism from the president of BCCI?
