What is the basis of picking Awana when Sandip Sharma and R Dhawan are the highest wicket takers in Ranji this season ?

10 reasons for sachin to retire gracefully
by Dhantannan on Dec 09, 2012 06:15 PM  | Hide replies

1.his average is lower than all other batsmen
2.he is past prime and not able to play under pressure
3.he is not getting younger any longer
4.follow footsteps of laxman and dravid
5.whole of India is questioning his place in team
6.his retirement shall give chance to a youngster to learn
7.selectors don’t have guts to question him leave alone dropping.
8.he is spending more time in fielding courtesy our pathetic bowlers
9. his contemporaries like dravid, kumble, laxman have retired and he is feeling lonely in dressing room.
10 all good things in life come to an end.

Ya absolutely.

Above all there is a suspicion start to creep in due to his adamant nature to respond to call to quit by senior players.
Now everyone is afraid or trying to be diplomatic to talk abt his retirement.

Sachin, ur losing respect mate.

why retain sachin
by S Singh on Dec 09, 2012 05:36 PM  | Hide replies

The selectors are being partisan by retaining sachin. Is it a case of Sandeep Patil and Sachin being mumbaikars . . . Lobby?

If Sachin is dropped then it will send strong signal to everyone not to take things easy but to value their place in the squad. Anyway, Sachin is past his prime.

Disagree. It is very easy to drop other players, not Sachin & MSD. Dropping Sachin or MSD will not send strong signal to anyone but their fanatics.

Oh mate.Even his fans these days wont mind him quitting.
Dropping is not fair for his stature, but to tell him to quit is fair.
:) One and the same

what best..
Unfit totally to last long,
lost the ability to take wickets being the so called experienced bowler,
Attitude is so poor.

What basis you are asking him to stay.

He shld only play T20, which is worth that much. Not Test cricket

Sachin's shine is sinking and it is hight time Sachin should look for ways to sideline himself to prosper younger generation who are waiting for their chance to play for INDIA.
