Defeat inevitable
by Vish on Dec 08, 2012 10:02 PM

Prepare any kind of pitch it doesn't matter. Defeat is inevitable because Team BCCI does not know how to bat, bowl and field

Whose days are numbered?

Both Dhoni's as well as Srinivasan's, it quite clear. When a cat is cornered it shows off its fangsinitially and makes efforts as if it is going to bite back in defense. Thats what Srinivasan is doing. AND, how come a lone man is virtually calling the shots in BCCI??? Who gave him this authority?? What are the other official's role? Acting the goat???

Time for a complete overhaul of BCCI ... yet again?! Our Arvind Kejriwal is absolutely corect ... this Banana Republic in indeed run by a very few corrupt individuals. He wants to get rid of them by being a part of a clean system ... wrong .... they need to be shot or hung in public.

I HAVE A FEELING
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Dec 08, 2012 08:29 PM

Shri Prabhir is like Annaji fighting against all odds against corruption - there is so much similarity in Cricket and Indian administration both focusing on loot ,finally the sport and country suffers because of such pathetic leadership.

In my last post I saluted you for your convictions. But on account of those lofty convictions we are on the verge of defeat. It is meaningless to be the torchbearer of principles when it lands you in trouble. It can be recalled that you swore that you will never visit Eden again only to be sobered down by JD. By succumbing to his pressure have you not gone back on your word. Here I do not see similar swagger and swashbuckle attitude. Here you displayed earthly pragmatism. But when it comes to preparing of wicket the same pragmatism goes for a toss. This kind of duplicity should be avoided at all cost.

Indian cricket
by Syz on Dec 08, 2012 07:41 PM  | Hide replies

Indian cricket is in such a bad shape that they need a fine-tuned wicket to win. What a nonsense. Why ICC doesn't impose strict rules over the pitches? There should be set rules on type of pitches on which the game should be played. It should be both batsman and bowler friendly. Dhoni has shown his real unethical character in this incident. I salute this man who stood by his ethics. This incident has shown how weak the Indian team is.

Post-Mumbai, there is no guarantee that a 'fine-tuned' or 'tailor-made' wicket can make India win or even save a match

BCCI need to check curator's links with bookies
by Logical Error on Dec 08, 2012 07:28 PM  | Hide replies

Why could possibly be the reason why the curator is not preparing the wicket the Dhoni wants? Doesn't he want India to win? Does he think that he knows more about strengths and weaknesses of the Indian and English team than what Dhoni knows? There is obviously other reasons that don't need to be mentioned. We know players and umpires are involved in fixing. Now the curator is also part of the game

Mr Error, Please don't make error in understanding that the octagenarian curator has prepared a good batting track. It's another story that our batsmen cannot survive on such a good batting surface of Eden, or on the turning dusty pitch of Mumbai. Even the Ahmedabad pitch was not liked by Dhoni. Problem is with the team & the Board, not with the pitch.

Logical Error, its indeed a ERROR that England team sent MEN's team, they should have fielded their WOMEN'S team against this over hyped Indian Cricket team.

a man of coviction
by arun sen on Dec 08, 2012 07:19 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Prabirda
I salute you for your courageous stand and open defiance to BCCI Boss. But here I must add that home pitch should be prepared to help the home team. Everywhere else this is the norm. When everyone is street smart then it is a folly for us to be stickler to principles.

There is nothing to salute about it. Check who gave him money to prepare a wicket on which India would lose the match.

What is wrong with the Eden pitch? It is very good batting strip. Board should enquire why our batsmen cannot score runs on such a flat pitch, instead of finding fault with the seasoned curator.

WE ARE ALL CONFUSED - ARE WE GOOD IN BATTING AGAINST SPIN ,FAST ,SWING ?
BOWLING CAN WE BOWL SPIN OR SWING OR FAST IN ALL CONDITIONS .
IS THERE N LATERNATTE LIKE WE CHANGE THE PTICH WHEN OPPONENTS ARE BATTING AND WHEN WE ARE BATTING .IT IS ALL CONFUSING LET NOT PLAY INTERNATIONAL CRICKET AND CONCENTRATE IPL WHICH NEEDS NO SKILL AND WILL DECIDE ON LUCK OR INFUTRE ON TOSS.
