Mockery of National interest
by ranjan dutta on Dec 01, 2012 10:14 PM  | Hide replies

What a mockery of indian cricket. Games takes the backseat. Imagine a curator is holding the captain and the country to ransom. 83 year man decidec how and on which pitch the Indian cricket is to be played. Shame. No body is doubting the integrity but each game has to be won within the rules laid down.

During England's last appearance here for an ODI in 2011, Dhoni had termed the Eden wicket as "ugly". However India had won that match for a 5-0 whitewash in the series.

Back in 2005, Mukherjee had an argument with the then India coach Greg Chappell [ Images ] and skipper Rahul Dravid [ Images ] as he produced a bouncy pitch in protest against keeping Sourav Ganguly [ Images ] out of the Indian team. India had lost that match by 10 wickets where South Africa captain Graeme Smith [ Images ] had scored a century.
