Certainly played well, but there should be no comparisions with Dravid, who has won India many test matches. Kohli now looks a certainity in the test squad too. With a long home series ahead, pujara may cement his place in the side but without the ABROAD test of his batting it will not be justified
Though I agree about Kohli.. but Pujara has to prove himself before stakingf claim for the place of the likes of Ganguly, Dravid and Laxman. Hope he proves good on the bouncy tracks and froeign conditions also.

Hi, pearl, i agree with u. it is too early to judge both kohli and pujara, same the case with those fab five. they grew from good players to great players over a period of time. not overnight.
Virat Kohli is deffinetly is a world class player. After the Australian tour Mr.Virat has improved his game as well as on the field behaviour. Now he is behaving very decent and pleasant. And his concentration has improved. That is the reason he is making so many runs of late. Regarding Pujara it is very early to come to a conclusion.Home series is different. His real test will be playing abroad against South Africa, Australia or England.
But for one man, everyone will retire, he would say the hunger for runs hasnt diminished yet, Every day learning to score runs, I am still fit, I will chose which series to play and which not, I will be the first one to score n number of runs, I would create records irrespective of how many away series losses to SA & Australia & England.
Every one of us loves to work for long, but your day should come and you are not expectional, you have not done anything exceptional to block youngsters, the young generation like kohli, chand or badri can still score a century in home matches and score 50-60s in away. So what the selectors waiting for, I dont understand. Atleast we have better fielders, young legs to go forward and be prepared for the next SA & Aus away series. India should plan now and cannot rest on the old to do something which for more 8-10 series hasnt done anything consistently.
Wait for some more time... if he score 100 in one match .. does not mean that new era started. This happens always with indian team. Let them go out and score these runs and let them win matches.
For sure, while appreciating the great work of Dravid, Laxman and the many seniors, I also would like to support highly for the youngsters.
Youngsters are certainly raring and for sure they can do great things. I have one caution to youngsters - be it cricketers or in any other field - remember self-discipline, self-control and good good humane ethics ARE CERTAINLY CERTAINLY REQUIRED IN WHATEVER ONE MAY DO. So....... should any youngster possess this rare quality, then go ahead and do great things with all the energy, enthusiasm and courage which any youngster has.
One match against a weak NZ team that too at home to too early to spoil these youngsters with rave reviews. The real test will be against England and Australia abroad. Till then it will better to lay off them.
